Great location! The room was very decent, just a bit small, but perfect for short trips. The staff were lovely, and the 24-hour front desk was a great bonus.

Excellent location, warm-hearted owners, clean, great breakfast, highly convenient eateries and grocery store within 100-300m walk. Easily accessible from airport by Bus #16 or 41 (loading bay at Zone 15, outside Terminal 1, direct, 14 bus stops). As the digital board and announcement in the bus is rather confusing, the best is to request the bus driver to inform you to get off at ”Shanvarna Road Est, stop 231”. Try to buy a Standard Leap Card from Terminal 1 Convenient Store for €10 (€5 deposit included), if not available, a Leap Card for single ride can be purchased at €2.60 or simply pay at bus with €2.60 coins. Upon checking in, walk 500m from B&B to Maxol Service Station Swords Road to purchase the Standard Leap Card, your single ride will then cost €2 only with free transfers within 90 minutes. Buses to downtown Dublin (14-17 stops) or other counties nearby are also available from the same bus stop across the road of the B&B. Returning from downtown will drop you off at the bus stop right in front of the B&B. The Comet (a local pub) and Centra Santry Village grocery store are within 100-200m walk from B&B, a pizza/burger take away and a Chinese Takeway are also available across the road. Owners are kind and friendly. Would recommend this B&B to everyone visiting Dublin especially solo traveler depending on public transport and prefers quiet places out of downtown.

This is a standard breakfast and board accommodation rather than a hotel per se. The location is centrally located in the city and the main attractions are within walking distance. The room is clean and comfortable however the hotel is in the city centre so if your room is in the basement section of the hotel as I was, it can be a little noisy with passersby however it was not a huge problem for me and slept quite well. Breakfast was reasonable and the staff are quite friendly. Overall, suitable for few nights stay

Efficient and helpful staff at the checkin counter as well at the entrance desk. Concierge area is so beautifully decorated and looks warm and cozy. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is within walking distance to the bus stops of Dublin Express. Right in the city centre, walking distance to the river and plenty of food choices. The horse carriages often pass by the road in front of the hotel. If I ever visit Dublin again, I will book this hotel again.

Adequate place to stay at the right price. Upgraded from an 8-bed to 6-bed and check in via kiosk was relatively straightforward. The hostel itself is quite sizeable and the hallways can be easy to get lost in. We found the service from staff to be hit or miss, with many staff being friendly and accommodating while one staff member was exceptionally rude and abrupt with us and other guests too (despite having no complaint, just a simple request).

Academy Plaza Hotel is quite convenient since it is located in the center of the city and the transportation is within distance. It has the direct airport bus to come and go, where the stop is just a few minutes walking away. It is also close to the meeting points where most local tours park their buses and pick up tourists. So if you are planning to join local tours, this hotel should be on your list coz it is easy for a traveller to find the hop on point and also saves your time. Since it is in the heart of Dublin, you can just Google the destination you wanna visit and walk towards it with your mobile phone. It will be a solo city walk. Meantime, the staff here shows Irish hospitality and the coffee at Academy Cafe is so good. It is an ideal choice for people travelling alone.

Awesome hotel in a GREAT location for going to a concert at 3 arena (as we did) or simply exploring Dublin City either on foot or easy public transport links. Hotel is very well run, great staff, and the room was so clean, spacious and no street noise!!! Highly recommend. Please note photos were taken as we were leaving - so the mess is ours - the room was immaculate when we arrived!!

Stayed here for birthday, great hotel, friendly staff,  perfect location. Rooms quaint with period furniture, vibrant neighbourhood, would stay again.

Jag blev imponerad av det vänliga välkomnande jag fick i receptionen. Även om jag visste att jag inte kunde boka in mig förrän klockan 14.00, gick jag dit tidigt i hopp om att de skulle ta hand om mitt ärende. De gör inte bara detta utan extra kostnad, utan jag fick också komma in på mitt rum klockan 11.30 eftersom det hade blivit utrymt. Hotellet har ett utmärkt läge för sightseeing, då Christchurch och St Patrick's Cathedral ligger inom 5 minuters promenad, och Dublin Castle och Esther Beatty-utställningen, som inte får missas, ligger precis runt hörnet. Rumsfaciliteterna var utmärkta med luftkonditionering, kylskåp, kassaskåp, kaffe- och tekokare, strykjärn och hårtork och naturligtvis konstant varmt vatten för duschen. Nedervåningen fanns en restaurang och bar med musik på kvällen, som slutade vid en rimlig tidpunkt. Frukost serverades också på morgonen, enkel men tillräcklig. Det var väl värt priset helt enkelt på grund av läget.
