Zero soundproofing, it's as if you're outside. The view was good and the room had great bedding, bathroom and shower. The view is impressive but I wouldn't stay there again, it's impossible to rest.

Först det positiva: läget är perfekt, precis intill Jiefangbei, inte långt från Shibati och Mountain City Trail. Cirka 100 meter bort ligger en liten, berömd bullebutik där oljeteet är jättegott, särskilt fläskbullen. Vandrarhemmet tillhandahåller tandkräm, tandborstar och badlakan dagligen, man byter bara in de gamla i receptionen. Tofflor finns också. Jag har inte besökt e-sportrummet eller de gemensamma utrymmena, verkar ligga bredvid, jag satt bara en stund i en av saccosäckarna i lobbyn på bottenvåningen. Badrummet har en huktoalett och toalettpapper, duscharna är i separata bås, och det finns en separat yta för att borsta tänderna och tvätta ansiktet. Dessa tre separata områden är välplanerade och hygieniska.
Nu till det negativa: De gemensamma utrymmena och badrumsavdelningarna hade ingen luftkonditionering. Att gå på toaletten mitt i natten var iskallt, och det var mycket kallt efter duschen. Duschutrymmena var mycket små, bara en rad krokar på dörren att hänga kläder på innan man drar för duschdraperiet. Det var så trångt att det inte fanns plats att ta på sig pyjamasen efter duschen, och det fanns ingen värme utanför. Så varje gång fick jag snabbt svepa in mig i handduken och rusa tillbaka till rummet efter duschen. Om jag skulle föna håret var det en snabb operation. Jag var orolig att jag skulle bli förkyld av kylan efter duschen de dagarna, men tack och lov klarade jag mig i sex dagar utan att bli sjuk!
Med tanke på priset är det ändå ett mycket prisvärt vandrarhem. Hygienstandarden är bra, badrummet är välplanerat, läget är oslagbart och de tillhandahåller många saker. Det var en mycket bra vistelse.

A simple hotel with good location, nice staffs and can check out early morning before 7am, staff is standby in hotel, hotel provides toiletries, towels.The hotel staff upgrade room for me due to i booked the room not yet ready cleaning to check in cos I arrived early in hotel.
Just 2 minutes walking from Lijiangmen Train, go out from exit 1,turn right. And right further 1mins, the lobby just infront, Jiefangbei just next to building less than 2mins walking, 10mins walking to HongYaDong, and chopsticks building, many food stalls, 10mins to BaYi food street, walking 15mins to train station line to GuanYinQiao street, train infront hotel can go LiZhiBa Buidling, and interchange with transit, and also airport train transit. very recommended hotel.

gorgeous view, friendly and attentive staff. i couldn't find the correct entrance and one of the staff kindly came out to physically bring me to the hotel despite the rain. amazing area too, several malls and subway lines right at the doorstep. i would definitely come back ! my only suggestion would be softer beds, they really are quite hard even as someone who enjoys hard beds. but everything else makes up for this, so it wasn't a problem. thank you very much !

The location and view was amazing!
Loved the room, the only thing to take notice of - I was there during chinese new year, so it was a bit noisy till around 12 PM.
All in all, I would definitely recommend it though!
It was a stunning room and the location was perfect, directly by a train station and with lots of food stalls on the road!
Just look at the photos I made (sadly you can't attach videos here, so I just made some screenshots from the video I took) and judge for yourself - I really enjoyed my time there. 😊

I really loved my stay at this hotel. 🫶🏻🥰
Before I arrived, I got instruction how to get to the building. The subway station is right next to the building and even less than a minute away. I put some pictures, so you can see your entry to the building. Living starts at level 9, under levels are for business. The reception is at level 13; my room too. The receptionist is sooo nice and welcoming. Fantastic service! She even suggested to go to a drone’s show I didn’t know it took place. I am really thankful for the suggestion. About the room, it has an amazing view and the skyline with all the lights is just breathtaking. The room was clean and it was cleaned every day. I had all necessary things and the heating function of the AC worked fine. Important to mention are also the bedsheets because I really loved them. Warm, comfy and the logo of the hotel was on it. I really appreciate that little detail of stitching. Overall, the hotel really cares for their guests.
I also got a free tour ride for Chongqing with the booking. I don’t recommend the tour. It was all in Chinese, so you couldn’t understand what the tour guide was talking. I just got informations about departing and arrival by text on WeChat (it is really useful for communication, please install). The sights were nice but I would have liked to know a little bit about the history and meaning of these places. For additional costs, I would just choose the cable car ride, not even the meal. You can get better and cheaper food in the surrounding. I was disappointed, but it was free. I don’t know if may complain. 😅

An apartment on the 12th floor in the city center, close to the metro station. It had only two shared rooms and two bathrooms. The place was very comfortable. I didn't meet the host, but he contacted me via chat, gave me all the information, and provided me with the apartment's access code.

staying here was an absolutely amazing experience. such friendly, helpful staff, they show you everything - all amenities are provided for free and eeeeverything is explained!! (towels, slippers, even body soap and shampoo are in the showers). very clean, the rooms are nice to stay at, comfortable mattresses. but what matters the most is that it's full of friendly, incredible people! the place is well decorated and looks very sweet, so many details that make it feel cozy. a niche place. I would love to come here again. please, if you're debating this and some other hotel, choose this one - it might be just the best choice in all of Chongqingbei (if not China, haha!)

GGästanvändareDet har gått nästan en månad sedan jag återvände till Taiwan, men jag kände ändå att jag var tvungen att skriva en recension för att fira tillfället. Redan innan jag checkade in kunde jag känna vandrarhemmets omtänksamhet. De ringde personligen för att bekräfta att jag inte hade bokat fel rum och varnade mig till och med vänligt för den fruktade trafiken i Chongqing under första maj-helgen. Och jag förstod verkligen innebörden av det från det ögonblick jag klev av höghastighetståget. Det som borde ha varit en halvtimmes resa förvandlades till över en timmes trafikstockningar. Jag trodde först att incheckningen skulle vara en snabb tiominutersprocess, och jag såg fram emot att utforska, men ägarna var otroligt gästvänliga från det ögonblick jag anlände, pratade med mig och visade mig noggrant runt i rummet, badrummet, de gemensamma utrymmena, kylskåpet och till och med takträdgården. Sedan bjöd de in mig att sitta ner och delade med sig av sin hemgjorda reseguide. En halvtimme gick, men jag kände inte att jag slösade någon tid; istället blev jag road av ägarnas rättframma och bedårande personlighet. Detta vandrarhem förkroppsligade perfekt Sichuan-folkets varma gästfrihet, och det är det mest minnesvärda stället jag har bott på under mina ensamresor. Tyvärr stannade jag bara i Chongqing i två och en halv dag, och resplanen var för stressad, så jag hann inte prata ordentligt med dem. Chefen~ Jag är tjejen som hittade mitt boende genom att ständigt fråga efter vägen och gå vilse. Jag kommer definitivt att komma tillbaka till den här bergsstaden för ett äventyr igen om jag får chansen!

MMauricio LAThe view of this room was 10/10. And its nicely located near the most important sightings of Chongqing. Also, the building has an entrance where you can arrive in the subway station. Comunication with the owner needed use of google translator, but she was really kind and friendly. It was also possible to receive taobao packages. They are stored in a room in the plaza inside the building near the subway entrance
Room had a kitchen, but no microwave and all kitchenware was missing. Maybe i! was important to ask the owner for these itens, but we didn't bother as all other things were perfect. We would really stay here again.

SsansansanLet me start by saying, the front desk team was incredible! So kind and helpful! They helped me with my taobao parcels, even helped to pick up one and return too, I’ll never forget their kindness, incredible staff!
The hotel is placed in a building, where other hotels are based too. So when you see multiple hotels with same address, it’s cuz they are all in one building.
The first room I got, the washing machine there wasn’t working unfortunately but the lady in the front desk quickly got me another room (which was also supposed to have a washing machine but it didn’t lol) but I loved the view and accepted the room nonetheless haha it was massive!
Communications take place over WeChat. If you need daily cleaning, just message them by 11am (I think).
They’d provide two bottles of water each day and replaced towels and other amenities (toothbrush and paste, comb, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, detergent) if necessary, if cleaning requested. Overall, I found the rooms sufficiently clean, and bed was comfortable, AC and water temperature all good.
I’d say the main downside for me was the toilet, the smart toilet with bidet wasn’t working unfortunately 😣 but flushing was working “manually”. There’s a huge bathtub in the room, didn’t use it personally but if you fancy a bath with a view, you got one. The actual wet shower space was a bit old too but not too off putting. I think a few renovations will do good to the room.
There’s a convenience store right outside.
Also, to any Muslim considering this place, I’d say it’s a very ideal location for halal food options! Literally 15mins walk away (tho beware of the stairs but it’s Chongqing so that’s expected haha). There are a ton of halal food restaurants (hotpot, bbq, just noodles). There are even couple of stores selling halal snacks. Pro-tip: look for the words 清真 Qīngzhēn - which basically indicates halal.
In general, the hotel is very close proximity to many famous spots, the 18stairs/shibati was just next to the restaurants. The well monument is literally opposite the building, looks pretty cool. I pretty much walked everywhere - 20/25mins to go honggya cave, jifangbei pedestrian street on foot. Obviously, public transportation is available and it’s very convenient and affordable. The metro stations are literally 8/10mins away, might seem a lot but genuinely it isn’t that much.
Loved my stay there and will absolutely stay there again if I visit! Again, big shoutout to the front desk, thanks for your help!!!! W. Definitely recommend.

GGästanvändareBooked this hotel for the loft room type which has only 1 unit. Note that there are only 14 rooms across 2 floors located in a commercial building. Seems like it is very common in cq to have such hotels which are occupying floors in a building. The room has a great view of Jiefangbei and you can see the monument from the room. Pls note that the location of the room is just next to the entrance which i didn't like (personal preference) but it didn't affect me in terms of noise.
Smart system, tv projector
The room is using a smart system which you can control through voice. However this proved to be a problem for me instead as everytime I returned and put in the key card, the same settings operate e.g. music automatically plays and the announcement starts and I have to ask it to stop playing the music. The lighting is also preset with hindered the brightness of the projector. Note that there is no tv, only a projector with iqiyi inbuilt so there are no tv channels and most of the shows require a subscription to play. I wasn't able to adjust the lights according to what I want. So if I wanted a very clear resolution, I had to turn off all lights.
Bathroom
The toilet seat was automatic with bidet. As it is automated, you have to press a button to open the seat cover everytime you want to use. If you use the disposable seat cover, it cannot detect you and halfway using the toilet, the seat keeps coming down to close as it closes automatically. The position of the handheld shower is also very low. I'm 1.68m tall which was the perfect height but anyone taller will hit the shower. One very important point to note is also that the hotel only uses disposable towels to my dismay. They do not have regular towels. If I had known I wouldn't have booked this hotel. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in cq. There are also no hooks in the bathroom and the sink is outside the bathroom.
During my stay it rained a bit so the area just beside the bed had a pool of water which likely came from a leak in the building. For this room, the electronic curtains were also unable to cover the room totally due to the stairs going up to the bed.
Aircon
Due to the size of the room, I felt that the ac wasn't strong enough to cool the room totally.
In conclusion, the hotel has a great location and good service but if I had known the above, I would hv chosen another regular hotel with tv, regular towels etc. I wanted to check out after 1 night but didn't as it was just simply too troublesome and my booking was non refundable.

RRangaswamy SOn 23rd Sep. in the afternoon we arrived at the 'Elong me' Hotel at Chongqing.
As a check-in process we were shown a room of the type that I had booked which emanated the foul smell of rotten woods.
I requested another room as an upgrade with the City view. Since we were running short of time for our next programme that is ”'Teahouse cultural & Heritage Show”, We accepted the upgraded room to changeover and paid an additional CNY 400 by cash accordingly.
Only when we returned in the late evening to settle down, did we notice/realise the following:
1) The washroom/bathroom, just immediately next to the bed, is only covered with glass partition by half and another sliding half is missing from it's place and in it's place a plastic shower curtain being used, that too, for half portion only.
2) Some kind of mixed foul smells like fungi+dampness. Believe me, it's not simply because of the continuous rains. I am certain that it is due to poor continual maintenance/cleanliness.
3) It's apparent that the curtains and sofa set covers have not been washed for ages. Perhaps, they were contributing to the foul smell.
4) The queen bed / COT somewhat okay. Below the bed a lot of trash and dust is collected. Apparently, not cleaned for a while.
5) There were no Cotton Turkey Hand Towels, only Bath Towels.
6) No Cotton Turkey Towel or any other Foot Mat placed in the bath room, when we come out of the shower tub.
(I am not sure if points 5 & 6 are applicable only for 4 & 5 Star Hotels)
7) The height of agony is the LIFT service in the 'D' Block section of this hotel. There is only one lift for passengers to go up to 41 floors. One more lift, although residents also use it, exclusively meant for transporting garbage and other items. We need to wait for a very long time. In reality and in general, one can undergo to get patients tested.
As Vivid travellers, overall this hotel particularly the rooms including the upgraded one where we stayed, not worth having paid so much money.
Not at all feeling satisfied.
Yet, only a very positive point is that the girls at the reception were good in responding to meet our needs.
A Special mention about the Receptionist by name ”********”.
She is very good, efficient, knowledgeable and smart.
She went out of her way to help us navigate to various places.
A special thanks to her with our blessings.
The other girls were also okay to some extent.
Overall, I would sum up as ”Just okay” but, strongly say that overall management of the hotel is very poor.

Whether you are visiting for leisure, family vacation, or business purposes, the location provides excellent accessibility.
The room exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The bed was extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows that ensured a restful sleep every night. Cleanliness was impeccable — every corner of the room, including the bathroom, was spotless and well maintained. The housekeeping team did a remarkable job of keeping the room fresh, tidy, and well stocked with amenities throughout my stay.
One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the room. The large windows allowed natural light to fill the space during the day, while at night, the panoramic city view created a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere.

GGästanvändareI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

YYomzzThe location is great! It’s an apartment complex with many amenities including refrigerator, air conditioning, kettle, and room service daily to replenish the reusable items. However, the bed base needs adjusting as the mattress does not quite fit in it so often times you may hurt your knees and legs when coming out of bed.
The refrigerator wasn’t cleaned and the freezer had water settled in it.
The bathroom curtains need to be changed and the bathroom walls cleaned throughly.
The use of the microwave is restricted to when the main office on the floor your on is open.
However, good stay, nice experience that would have been better if the few amenities were cleaned properly.
Lovely view and the set up is good.
TV in the unit didn’t quite work and the warm water control wasn’t very accurate (gave hot boiling water when the tap was set to the center).
