I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was compact but comfortable, with everything I needed. The location was perfect—close to major attractions, making it easy to explore the city. There were also plenty of food options and shops nearby, so I never had to go far for meals or last-minute essentials. Overall experience was great, and I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip!

We are a couple from the Netherlands and spent 3 nights at this family run B&B.  We were friendly welcomed by granny. Since we were the first and only guests to arrive that day we could pick any room. We chose one room with 2 large beds at the top floor, close to a balcony with laundry basin and drying lines.  While waiting for her daughter Madam Ye and her grandson to come home we were treated homemade tea. Granny also led us through the village to find us a nice little restaurant for lunch.  The B&B is conveniently located in the middle of the village, in a block right accross the main square. On the road accross the square you can find small grocery shops and a few restaurants serving delicious local specialties.  Speaking about local specialties... Madam Ye prepares a delicious Chinese breakfast offering a variety of homemade dishes that go very well with the rice porridge and mantou. Fresh cooked eggs, fermented cucumber and turnip, various kinds of bamboo shoots, deep fried ricecake slices and some special glutinous rice snack called qingtun.  Madam Ye and her son helped us to arrange transport and assisted us with purchasing tickets to the Yunhe Terraces. We were picked up by a driver at 4:30 in the morning so that we could see the sunrise in time. Worried about us not having had breakfast that early, madam Ye got up at 3 am to make us a rich and filling breakfast. Such a kind, polite and hospitable gesture. We felt so bad we hardly had eaten any because we could not have the driver wait for so long. Madam Ye said we were fortunate we picked the correct date for seeing the sunrise above Yunhe Titian. We had an almost clear blue sky that morning. The next day it started raining.... But on that rainy day we were lucky again to witness a local festivity that only takes place once in every 5 or 6 years, where all villagers worship the gods of fortune.  The fireworks, the marching and music we witnessed it all. Indeed we felt lucky 😁 After our last dinner at a local restaurant just around the corner we came back at the B&B and agreed with Madam Ye what time we would have breakfast and what time her son would drive us to the bus station. She again mentioned how lucky we were because that evening a Chinese opera was performing at the local village hall. Together we walked up there and to enjoy some wonderful Chinese opera before walking back to the B&B again after having spent another joyful day at Chongtou village. Please visit this lovely little village in Yunhe County and stay in this lovely little family B&B. The village Chongtou, the Yunhe terraces and this B&B, our lovely little home there, will stay in our memories forever....

Faciliteter: Anläggningarna är ganska kompletta Även om toaletterna och badrummen är offentliga, är de mycket privata. Det finns också en allmän rastplats och en liten terrass, vilket är bra. Hygien: Det är hygieniskt och rent Det finns en tant som städar på platsen. Miljö: Ljudisoleringen är lite dålig. Vissa gäster öppnade dörren för att ringa telefonsamtal på natten och kunde höra dem tydligt. Service: Servicen i receptionen är verkligen mycket bra, men det finns många myggor och det saknas myggmedel eller myggspiraler. Jag blev biten i en såll i rummet och inga insekter hittades.

From the moment we arrived, we were completely charmed. What makes this place special for me is its sincerity. Every detail shows how much Lixia and Haibo want guests to feel welcomed, relaxed, and genuinely connected to village life. The young owners, Lixia and Haibo, are such a lovely, talented, and hard-working couple who got married not long ago and have just opened this beautiful homestay together. Their passion and warmth are everywhere. Haibo is a professional photographer and an incredible cook – every meal he prepared for us was fresh, seasonal, and absolutely delicious. Lixia is just as amazing: super energetic, thoughtful, and incredibly talented behind the camera. They also have the sweetest dog named One Two Three – a patient and gentle soul who quickly became our favorite companion. She joined Lixia in accompanying us around the village and along the ancient trails, adding even more joy to our walks. What truly blew us away was the photography and videos Lixia made for us. While we explored, she quietly captured the most beautiful shots of us among the old stone houses and ancient trails. At the end of our stay, she surprised us with two wonderfully edited short videos that perfectly captured the joy and laughter of our weekend. I’ve stayed at hundreds of places around the world and have never received anything like this – it’s a memory we’ll treasure forever. The rooms are spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated with local touches. Every small detail – from the welcome fruit basket to the cozy fireplace at night – shows how much love and effort this young couple puts into making guests feel truly at home. If you want to slow down, eat amazing home-cooked food, have your trip professionally documented, and be spoiled by the kindest hosts (and their wonderful dog) in Zhejiang, book Lixia and Sea Homestay immediately. Great location in between downtown and Xihu area. Unfortunately it is a smoking permitted hotel so guests often smoke in their rooms with the doors open so it might be good to turn on the AC to ensure smoke doesn't enter your room. Otherwise, pretty damn neat place for a great price.

It’s a budget hotel that only the locals know. Even though it’s small, the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. They provide clean towels (not disposable), room cleaning, water, toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo and soap as well. There is hair dryer as well. The location is prime as it’s located 5 minutes walk away from West lake and In77. I’m very satisfied with the stay, definitely for solo travelers this hotel is a gem.

Det här var första gången jag bodde på ett vandrarhem, och överlag var det ganska bra. Läget var utmärkt, mycket nära West Lake, även om det var en bit från tunnelbaneutgången. Första dagen bokade jag ett soligt dubbelrum, vilket var mycket rent, och de gemensamma utrymmena var också trevliga, så jag förlängde min vistelse till ett tvåbäddsrum för den andra dagen. Dubbelrummet hade ett fönster, men det vette mot gatan. De som föredrar bra ventilation och torrhet kan välja detta rum, men ljudisoleringen var inte bra; jag kunde svagt höra folk sjunga karaoke sent på kvällen (detta kan vara ett undantag, eftersom jag inte hörde det den andra natten). Den andra nattens tvåbäddsrum hade inget fönster och vette mot korridoren. Det var lite större än dubbelrummet, och sängarna kändes ungefär lika stora. Sängkläderna verkade lite fuktiga, förmodligen för att de hade bråttom att byta rum; De hade precis städat klart innan de släppte in oss. Det surrade från maskinerna på natten, men jag kunde inte höra det med de medföljande öronpropparna (varför glömde jag att använda öronproppar första dagen? 😂). Sammantaget var det en fantastisk vandrarhemsupplevelse.
