"Convenient location to go eateries and short distance walk to KSL. Plenty of parking space and quiet environment. Located at level 56 and a good view of the neighbourhood.
The unit comes with a water purifier/dispenser, so there is no need to buy drinking water when staying there. It also provides a washing machine at the service yard but you will need to bring your own washing powder/detergent. Bring a pair of slippers/hotel slippers along if plan to go service yard for the washing.
Feels grainy for the floor in some areas, would be good to have a mop in the unit.
Do note that there is no Netflix but you can watch local free channels. Before we check in, we were informed in the morning that there is a fibre maintenance by the building management and the free wifi for the unit ended with no internet connection during the stay. Hopefully the internet service has resumed after the public holiday.
4G & 5G signal for my Hotlink mobile service was intermittently slow when staying in the unit and disconnected at times.
Generally, it is a nice unit for family and friends to stay."

YYL_SnoopyIf you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice.
Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa.
What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there.
The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub.
Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.

JJaymie SooThe good:
comfortable bed, decent cleanliness, working aircon, game console was cool, nice view at #48.
The bad:
Host expect you to contact them on the day else no sound no pic.
Sent a series of pictures and videos, shock to see they asked for deposit and my passport photo as part of their requirements. I’m not comfortable with that.
Drivers beware: This unit located at B1-2 is damn troublesome. I had to park outside the gantry and walked all the way to the end of the building (approx 200m one way) to get the card. The guard weren’t familiar with such arrangement had to call another guard over to assist in order to let me into the mailroom to retrieve the access card.
After that had to walk all the way back again to the entrance. When I drove to the gantry, the access card didn’t work, guard had to come over again to assist. End up found out it’s because the previous user did not “tap out” so we can’t “tap in”.
The wayfinding in the carpark is worse ever. Don’t know where to go up, don’t know where to exit. Turn round and round the entire carpark to find and realised it’s in the middle of nowhere.
Now for the accommodation itself, it’s decent. Towels were provided. No toothbrush provided but 8 combs provided instead (pic). The cups were damn disgusting (pic).
Overall will not return as the carpark and checkin experience was really a huge turnoff.
BBryan FangLovely stay here. Wanted to give it a try since it is the latest hotel in JB.
Lobby on ground floor while check-in reception on the 5th floor.
A cafe, club lounge, noodle restaurant and the breakfast restaurant are located on the 5th floor too.
Gym, swimming pool, kids wet playground and function/ballrooms are on the 6th floor.
We stayed in a normal deluxe room. 39m²
Spacious with sitting area and table. Spacious toilet as well. Toilet with bidet. Shower with both rain and handheld shower head. Large dressing table equipped with a lighted face mirror, hairdryer and a variety of toilet amenities.
View from the 12th floor was great. Facing the taman pelangi. Unblocked views.
Staff were all friendly and polite. Many of them greeted us whenever we pass by.
Carpark entrance is on the left side of the hotel building. Carpark is shared with the shopping mall which is stated to open soon in April.
Do let the reception know that you are driving. State your carplate number and be entitled unlimited ins and outs during your stay
Well recommended. Paid 189sgd for a Friday night
TTyrone NgThe Hotel Location is easy to access and lots of good food & salon amenities around it. Likewise, the Hotel Room is clean and tidy. The Customer Service is friendly & courteous. Also, I would like to compliment their Technician Staff having good fast response who came to repair our Card Slot System immediately when we notified them that our room has no more power supply due to the faulty card slot system. Keep up thwbGood Work!
AAin_Our first stay at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort was nothing short of exceptional, as we celebrated our first wedding anniversary here. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and attention to detail truly stood out. The team thoughtfully prepared a lovely surprise for us, which made our celebration even more special and memorable.
Throughout our stay, the service was consistently top-notch; professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always offering helpful guidance and prompt assistance whenever needed.
The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with breathtaking views across the property and impeccable cleanliness in both the rooms and common areas. There is a wide variety of daily activities available, including paid experiences. However, we highly recommend staying over the weekend to fully maximise your stay and enjoy more complimentary resort activities.
We were also introduced to their villa options, which offer additional perks, enhanced privacy, and even better views, something we are definitely considering for our next visit. Overall, this was a luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable experience. We truly look forward to returning to Anantara Desaru Coast Resort in the future.
AArie83The environment is wonderful and very pleasant. However, the king bed was not comfortable. It was too soft, and I experienced significant back pain in the morning. I also had difficulty sleeping throughout the night.
Westin staff mentioned that it is the Westin Signature Bed, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I am quite disappointed with this aspect of my stay.
AAnonym användareRoom Condition:
The hotel is quite old and a bit rundown, so it’s understandable that the furniture is also aged. The table lamp/study light looked worn out and could use some maintenance.
Service:
Check-in at the front desk was smooth, but we faced an issue with the TV in our room. We couldn’t watch any channels at all. At first, we thought it might be due to the weather, but the TV in my parents’ room worked fine. We scanned the QR code to request assistance and received only “Noted” as a response. We sent two messages and got the same reply both times. Since there was no follow-up, we went to the front desk to report it in person, but unfortunately, no action was taken until we checked out. That was quite disappointing.
Car Park:
Try to avoid parking directly under the trees, as there are quite a lot of weaver ants around the area.
Breakfast Buffet:
The breakfast buffet was okay. The kurma chicken tasted more like ayam ungkep, which was a bit misleading, but I actually loved it since I really like ayam ungkep.
YYan ChoonHad a really chill and enjoyable family trip at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.
Big plus is the direct access to Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark — super convenient, especially with kids. Just a heads up: if you book through Trip.com, it might not come with the free waterpark tickets. Booking direct with the hotel usually includes them.
The pool is on the smaller side and there’s no private beach, which was a bit of a letdown at first. But they do provide a free buggy service to the beach at The Westin Desaru Coast Resort, which makes up for it.
Food was pretty good overall — I especially liked the Malaysian dishes, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
At night, there’s a live band and the vibe is really nice. We enjoyed that a lot. Would recommend 👍
OOlive erThe hotel is old but well taken care. The check in and check out process needs to be improved, took too long.
The breakfast charge is over priced. I paid Rm50.88 per meal for my 7 year old kid. And the breakfast varieties are very normal, very limited choices.
The environment to eat is also very messy, people queue up for 10-15mins just to get the omelettes. Probably due to long holidays, it’s hard to find a table to sit down and eat. Shortage of workers to clean the table and to clean the room too. Our room only managed to be clean at 5pm.
The room is clean, the staff are friendly to help. We enjoy the beach and the pool, the pool is very friendly for kids.
The hotel also provides many other activities.
