Faciliteter och mat är utmärkta.Tjänsten, särskilt personalen på hotellrestaurangen, är dock inte så vänlig, och en sorts mindre än standarden som förväntas från en sådan 4-star-hotel.
We stayed in the suite room. It was great! The hotel also prepares various breakfast. The staffs were nice and polite. A spacious prayer room is available nead the reception counter.

• Great location, 7 mins to Simpang Lima and directly connected to Queen City Mall, which has many good restaurants and shops.
• Good value for money considering the facilities and location in Semarang.
• Complete in-room amenities: washing machine, large fridge, microwave, stove, plates, and cooking utensils, very convenient for family stays or longer visits.
• Smooth check-in process, and no deposit required.
➖ Minus:
• Electricity went on and off more than 8 times during my stay. The outage was short each time, but it disturbed our convenience, especially when charging devices.
• A flying cockroach came out from the upper side of the wardrobe cupboard. I reported it to the staff.
• Breakfast restaurant is quite small and often crowded, with limited menu choices.
• Room is not soundproof, noise from the streets and the train can be clearly heard, even until midnight.

Here are the things considered extra servies which the guests have to pay to use: pool, cutleries to use in room when you don't order food from room service and hair dryer. That's just the things I thought to ask for, maybe tons of other things are also not free. Hospitality is awful, female crews were absolutely rude. Don't bother staying here if you're trying to have a half-decent vacation. Also, the bathroom stinks, the double bed is a fake (only 2 singles pushed together which created a hole im the middle), there are rats running around the pool area, the TV is not a Smart TV yet (old style cable only), in-house spa and massage prices were over the top.
Booked because of their hot water pool. But it only warm during weekend. But their pools are good, there are three pools with depth 1.4m, 0.6m and 0.8 m.
Rooms are spacious. We booked 3 rooms, two others connecting and children love it.
The only let down is the breakfast selection, not too many choices. Standard staples of hotel buffet. Bit expect more of their speciality selections.

Saya menginap di Artotel Leguna Magelang dari tanggal 3 Maret 2026 sampai 5 Maret 2026 karena ada acara di Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang tanggal 3 dan 4 Maret. Lokasinya cukup strategis dan memudahkan saya untuk mobilitas ke kampus, jadi tidak terlalu capek bolak-balik.
Awalnya saya pesan Standard Room dengan 1 bed besar, sudah termasuk sahur 2 pax. ************* dapat free upgrade ke Superior Room, jadi kamarnya terasa lebih lega dan nyaman. Kamarnya bersih, rapi, dan enak untuk istirahat setelah kegiatan yang padat seharian. Tempat tidurnya empuk dan bikin tidur lebih nyenyak.
Yang paling saya suka, dari kamar bisa dapat view gunung 🌄 Suasananya tenang dan adem, terutama pagi hari. Lumayan banget buat recharge energi sebelum lanjut aktivitas.
Soal pelayanan, menurut saya timnya ramah dan responsif:

Sore hari dibantu Mas Bangkit, Mbak Sheila, dan Mbak Nayra
Malam hari dibantu Mas Fino
Semuanya helpful dan komunikatif. Kalau ada yang saya butuhkan, responnya cepat dan tidak ribet. Rasanya dilayani dengan baik, bukan sekadar formalitas.
Untuk housekeeping, saya dibantu Mas Dani. Kamar selalu bersih dan terjaga dengan baik selama saya menginap.
Untuk sahur disajikan secara buffet di resto. Walaupun pilihannya tidak terlalu banyak, tapi cukup, rasanya enak, dan disiapkan dengan baik serta tepat waktu. Jadi tidak perlu khawatir kalau menginap saat bulan puasa.
Secara keseluruhan, saya puas dan merasa nyaman selama menginap di sini. Cocok untuk yang ada kegiatan di Magelang, baik acara kampus, kerja, maupun sekadar staycation dengan suasana tenang dan view gunung.
Kalau ke Magelang lagi, saya tidak keberatan untuk stay di sini lagi 👍

GGästanvändareThis is my 2nd visit to this hotel. Previous visit was quite ok, however this time we were dissapointed with their cleanliness. Once we entered the room, the bedsheet and blankets were a bit smelly and there were yellowish color on them. Also, they forgot to refill the body soap inside the room. Although they did replace the dirty bedsheets and refilled the soap after making a request, but it shows how lacking they are in their cleanliness. Management needs to pay attention to this!
GGästanvändareWe stayed during Ied Mubarak holiday for 4 days/3 nights in April 2025. We booked 2 connecting rooms for my family (4 persons). I chose this hotel because it has swimming pool and gym, we used to exercise daily. In fact, the gym was closed for long term maintenance. It should be declared and crossed out from the hotel facility so we noticed from beginning, not surprised on site. The rooms at a glance were ok but when we looked to the interior were lousy. The curtain, gordyn, and bed lamps, dirty and stained. My children room has no curtain, so direct sunshine and very hot during the day. The towel seemed already used for years. not soft, looks lousy and the color not pure white as normally hotel towel. Each room provided safety box but no function at all. if you see the direction on the safety box (see the photo), it supposed has red button inside the box but no button at all. The safety box used 4 battery. In my room has only 2 batteries out of 4 and already expired since March 2018. My children' room has 4 battery but also not functioned. the button numbers and keys cant be pressed so we cant keep important and valuable items inside it. The swimming pool were crowded and the water was dirty. the hotel supposed to overall cleaning to the pool due to holiday seasons but the water obviously dirty. The parking lot is low maintenance, dirty, and rubbish everwhere. the Horison Ultima was only 3 years old last December 2024 as I saw from the stickwerck at lobby. The hotel was Star Hotel and changed to Horison Ultima. The parking lot was narrow and limited. For location is ok, near Java Mall. good for morning walk. the hotel staffs were polite and fast response. the amenities for 4* hotel is good enough. the mini fridge in the room is ok as well as the Aircon. If I may advise the management, please take serious attention to the cleanliness and maintenance also room refurbishment to the lousy interior inside as top priority.

Vi väntar redan på mat när vi är hungriga, väntar bara på att de inte kan servera den matnumret för det säljs ut.Det stör mig verkligen.

However the cleanliness of the room should be improved. Many moulds around the room and the bathroom. Also quite smell when you entered the room, like a wet or damp clothes smell. Parking area could be improved to accomodate more vehicles. Thanks
GGästanvändareSebenernya hotelnya bagus, cuma dapat bad experience aja untuk pertama kali inap disini, aku pesan dinner romantic langsung ke cp hotel ini, aku pastikan private dan gak sharing sama orang lain. Tapi kenyataannya ZONK. Di hari H udah check in gak dikasih tau kalau ada organ tunggal mau nyanyi juga dekat kolam. Dikasih taunya udah H-berapa jam. Serius, udah bayar mahal2 malah jadi keburu2, mana diliatin banyak orang, kadonya juga se adanya kayanya baru nyiapin hari itu, padahal udah booking DINNER ROMANTICNYA DR JAUH JAUH HARI. Lumayan juga harganya 1jt tapi kalo pelayannya begitu 😥 mulai jam 19.00 - 21.00 katanya, tapitbtb di cepetin jam 17.00-19.00 hadeh. Kalo gak saya bilang gak terima bakalan kekeuh dinner di jam 17.00 pdhl sebelumnya bilang jam 19.00. Tapi selain itu, okelah, untung aja menjual view laut. Mohon di perbaiki layanan ya. Saya cuma kecewa yang harusnya dpt momment dinner romantic, malah jd ajang diliatin orang, mau foto2 juga banyak orang lalu lalang lewat. Dinner nya jadin cuma 1 jam dan malah minta dibawa ke kamar aja sisanya. Sayang bgt kalo harus bayar 1jt begitu
GGästanvändareThe staff's friendliness saved the day, for them, Everyone from security, front desk, wait staff - was warm and welcoming. Some even had the sincerest SMILE I have ever seen. 👍👍
Several areas of concerns are, however :
- The Housekeeping staff who was in charge of my floor, had a seriiously BAD BODY ODOUR problem: ome that would stay and linger in the room and even in the corridor.
- The food served during Breakfast was varied enough. However, the quality needs major improvement. For example, the CEREAL that I had was the most artificial tasting cereal ever! It was actually quite disgusting. And the service in the PADI Restaurant can be improved, for example: No one cared enough to EMPTY THE ASH TRAYS in the smoking area; also, quite a few times, NO STAFF was seen on the fooors, it seemed as if they were ”gathering” somewhere that would not be visible by the guests on purpose!
- The Saftey Deposit Box was not working properly and needed fixing. Someone from ROOMS Dept or ENGINEERING Dept should regularly check every room periodically, without fail!
- Last but not least, the pillow in my room smelled like something rotten / a dead rat. Very disgusting

DDanieeHVery good hotel! I would come again. Great location, and great service. Morning breakfast offers varied options as well. Room was big with comfortable bed and pillows.
However, it is not perfect. I suggest the hotel management to do deep and chemical washing of the toilets. My room toilet looks grimy and the grout was yellow and dirty. Better care need to be looked into.
As for the location, it definitely in a good location. However, it is not a tall hotel with only 5 levels. Hence you will be able to hear the sounds from the road, as well as calls to prayers (as early as 4am). Also, the hotel is next to a big field, and hosted some events. At 6am, they were hosting some exercise group and their microphone was loud. It was not a good nights sleep. Suggestion for the hotel to upgrade and insulate the windows.
All in all, I would come back again though. Hope to see many upgrades in the future.

MikeThe breakfast is horrible, bland porridge, only lettuce for the salad, there's pasta but its macaroni covered in small red sauce with no taste, tables doesnt get cleaned properly, 2 people on the egg corner only serving egg with salt, no toppings, no veggies, just pure egg + salt, main course got no variation, noodle rice 1 type of veg, a fish, and chicken. To access the restaurant you need to go through the pool, cool way of thinking, not practical when theres a lot of children playing with the water, parents and nannys sitting on the side.
