"Stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Kawaramachi Jokyoji from 20-24 Dec. This was my 2nd stay there in 2 consecutive months, despite there being hundreds of hotels in Kyoto.  Location:  the hotel is located in the city center with Nishiki Market and Teramachi indoor shopping street located very closeby. Kawaramachi is also a big commercial street lined with plethora of shops and malls.  Train stations within walking distance.  Hotel Facilities and Amenities:  this is a very beautiful hotel next to a temple (and small cemetery). The rooms are exemplary clean and quite spacious for Japan’s standard. Many facilities such as a public onsen, on-site restaurant, vending machine, ice machine, etc. No gym, which is not a big deal at all if you are in Kyoto for a short tourist visit.  You will be doing a lot of walking anyway if you choose to.   I only visited the on-site restaurant for dinner once. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Service staff was accommodating (I had to use a wheelchair at the time); however, service was lackluster otherwise.   Hotel staff service:  cannot praise the service by the hotel staff enough. This time around, I had injured my foot and couldn’t walk for 2 days. I was touched by the staff’s incredible kindness - they went out of their way to really help me out. Overall:  if you want city center location with easy access to modern shops and an array of restaurants within walking distance, big and super clean room, and great hospitality,  I’d highly recommend this hotel."

"Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto Select is well located, with easy access to nearby attractions. The area is not difficult to navigate, and travelling with luggage is convenient as most of the roads around the hotel are flat. The hotel looks fantastic both externally and internally. The design is modern and well maintained, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The service staff were great—friendly, helpful, and professional. The lobby amenities were well thought out and added to the overall comfort of the stay. A welcome drink was also provided for every guest, which was a nice touch. The room was very nice and had sufficient space, making it comfortable even with luggage. One minor downside was the television, which only offered local channels. The luggage storage area was well designed and secure, allowing us to lock our luggage ourselves both before check-in and after check-out. In addition, the hotel onsen was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, making it a great way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, Hotel Grand Bach Kyoto Select offers a comfortable stay with excellent service, thoughtful facilities, and a convenient location. It is a great choice for travelers visiting Kyoto."

"The hotel is located at Umekoji park, just 2min walk away from Umekoji station. Just one street away, there are museum, garden, aquarium, Michelin star Ramen shop and many other high local rating (in tabelog) restaurants. The room was compact but clean, practical and comfortable. The breakfast served a small japanese-western style buffet, but it was tasty. Public bath was spacious and the congestion information was accessible from your room, which was very useful. Overall, it was a pleasant hotel for exploring the modern part of Kyoto."

"Very nice hotel with good amenities. The shower is amazing with different jets. The location is perfect for Kyoto and in a quite neighborhood with lots of restaurants where you can eat special Japanese food for decent prices ☺️"

"Although we arrived late at the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the onset is open 24 hours, offering clear and warm hot baths. The relaxing atmosphere, with massage chairs to help ease the stress from a long flight, made us feel comforted. Its convenient location within walking distance is a great plus; I highly recommend it."

"I had a great stay at Agora Kyoto Karasuma. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a minimalist Japanese style that feels both modern and cozy. The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and great local restaurants, which made getting around Kyoto very convenient. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose Agora Kyoto Karasuma again on my next visit to Kyoto."

The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience smooth from check-in to check-out. Location was also great — convenient, quiet, and close to what I needed. For the price I paid, the quality and service truly exceeded my expectations. Overall, S Peria Hotel is definitely worth the money, and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to access all the major attractions nearby. They provide different complimentary items and services at various times, which adds a nice touch to the stay. The staff were friendly and proactive, always ready to assist. One minor drawback is that there are only two washing machines available, so guests may need to wait during busy periods. On the positive side, the metro station is conveniently located right next to the hotel, making travel around the city very simple."
