"My grandparents and I stopped by for one night on a long-haul drive from the UK to Geneva. The hotel was clean and the staff were polite. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The room I stayed in faced the Basilique which lit up with colourful lights at night. The breakfast in the morning was amazing value and had so many options and amenities. I had about 3 cups of tea and many, many wild blueberries along with toast and other pastries. There was also fresh fruit and a coffee machine. Honestly I would go back for the breakfast alone! I will definitely stay again if I am in St. Quentin."

"If you want the experience of staying in a real Chateau with all the modern conveniences this is the place. It is exceptional. Decorated to a very high standard the Chateau is adorned with antique furniture and artefacts. The owner speaks a little English and I speak a little French, so enough to make each of us understood. There is excellent WIFI but you need to ask the host for the code; best done whilst checking in as the information in the bedroom is only in French (with WIFI connected Google Translate explains everything you need to know in your language). The continental breakfast is served in the dining room at a large round table that you share with other guests and is well above average. The Chateau is highly recommended."

"If you come to Laon, know that there is a hotel so horrible that I don't even want to use it as a prison. • The air conditioning is too loud. • A really hard mattress, the floor would be better. • A dripping noise coming from the room on the other side... • Lack of washing products. • A view that will make you argue if you come as a couple... • Only one socket... • A smell of cold tobacco that smells in the room. How can a hotel like this still exist? Really go elsewhere. Positive point: the copious breakfast at the Kyriad Express and the very professional welcome from the employees."

Two hours from the Calais coast, this medieval town is a convenient overnight stop on journeys south. But it deserves to be a destination in its own right, and not just in transit."
