The Corner House Hotel ★★★

"From the outside (scaffolding etc) we wondered what it would be like but we were pleasantly surprised.  We had booked a standard room which was clean and tidy with all the bits we needed, kettle, tea/coffee, hairdryer.  The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.  Breakfast could be cereal with milk or yogurt, cooked breakfast, toast or croissant, big choice and all fresh and freshly cooked.  We had the cooked breakfast - WOW - lasted us all day.  The little town of Annan, all I can say is, if you don’t visit it, you will miss out on a treat. PS the scaffolding is for all the renovations which will improve the property.  We would love to return one day."

"We have just returned from staying at THE WATERSIDE ROOMS and can't speak too highly about them. We were returning guests and Judith and Eric greeted us warmly on arrival. My wife who is a ceoliac was well catered for, Judith even remembered what her preferences were from last year. We feel very fortunate that we discovered this holiday gem. The views from the garden are second to none, and a bird watchers paradise."
