"We did not receive advice that the the hotel cannot be accessed by car, so Satnav is not helpful. It was almost 9pm when we left the airport 11minutes away by car, but we did not arrive until 90 minutes, within the traffic-free old city. Phone calls to the hotel (separate phones, several occasions) connected us to a Tesla Charging number(we had a VW hire car|) or an Agent Immobilier. By asking local people on the street and in a restaurant, we eventually arrived at a secure hotel carpark with electronic code access, a young man appeared as he was locking up for the night. He told us we were lucky to find him there. We parked and were transported by him via a circuitous and improbable route through the fortifications. Why were we not given directions to this car park and why was this system not explained to us? Diabolical!"

"God morgon, rummet var bra, bra tre sängar, jag medger att när jag var på rummet var det sista fria rummet. Ett litet ord bredvid vattenrummet, brist på handskar hakar och när jag tog min dusch, trots dörren stängd vatten invaderade en del av rummet. För frukost några vingårdar skulle ha uppskattats. Orange juice en delikat och en utmärkt kaffe sida Annars är mottagning på receptionen verkligen mycket varm och välkommen. Tack för laget."

"It's a great hotel. It has a good location, it's in the middle of the two areas to visit. It has a varied breakfast buffet and it's very good, you come out quite full. The room they gave us had a view of the castle and a little terrace to relax on, but the cold didn't let us enjoy it. It's very spacious. The only detail is that the pillows are very soft, but otherwise, it's great. Great service, very attentive. There are staff who knew how to speak Spanish."

"We were walking to the Carcassonne fortress with our children when my five year old suddenly and urgently needed a bathroom. We stopped at this hotel, which was nearby, and politely asked to use the restroom. In response, a staff member yelled at us, rudely pointed at the door, and said we weren’t guests, so “that’s your problem.” My child was standing right there and heard all of it. When I explained that my child urgently needed a toilet, the response was the same: not our problem. A minute later, another staff member came out, apologized for his colleague’s behavior, and calmly told us the nearest public restroom was just around the corner. The whole situation could have been resolved kindly and easily from the start, but someone at this hotel chose to shout at and humiliate a mother with a young child instead. I’d genuinely like to ask other readers: is this an acceptable way to treat people, especially a parent with a small child in distress? Does a hotel that allows its staff to treat visitors this way deserve trust or a good reputation?"

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Jean-Paul & Genevieve in their gorgeous B&B. Located in a small countryside village, we found the location perfect for exploring the wider area, though it is remote from shops & restaurants so you must plan accordingly. The guesthouse is situated in a wonderfully restored substantial village property, with great comfort and decor, as well as a very refreshing pool in which to cool down. Parking was conveniently nearby, and our hosts were incredibly friendly & knowledgeable in offering advice on the area. Continental breakfast is provided, making the perfect start to the day. Thank you for a great stay!"

"Ample, free parking spaces, good spoken English at the front desk. Located next to a large supermarket. Rooms are clean and comfortably designed. We booked one night but ended up staying two. Cleaning service was very observant, noticing that we'd only been drinking the decaf coffee sachets provided and topping up extra of those. Nice, small details that help make the trip more comfortable. The hotel is around 30 minutes walk to Carcassonne castle. You can drive there in the evening and park outside the castle for free after dark - a highly recommended experience. Overall, this hotel is the perfect choice if you're like us: foreign visitors, travelling in France by car."

"Magic Place of History, thank Franck for reviving it and especially for sharing it with us. Located in the Manufacture it is traveling in conscience, it is knowing to be wonderful yet... The rooms are very comfortable and full of charm, the beds are large, it is very quiet. The restaurant also has a great interest: Franck reports revenues from his trips ....another generosity act!! A couple of minor complaints, however: 1) Contrary to what is stated on TripAdvisor, there is no free parking; you will need to find a free space in a city parking lot. 2) The bathroom(s) are a bit cramped."
