"Vi stannade i december 2024 i den mycket privata kabinen.Frukost varierade varje dag och var exceptionell (het choklad från kaka för deras gård). Det var en trevlig behandling att inte behöva dela några väggar med andra gäster (bara ljud av flockar på natten och fåglar på morgonen).På natten kunde vi söka efter flockar i trädgården med ägaren.Platsen var mycket ren och bekväm. Värddatorerna var mycket varma och vi älskade att lära oss om Costa Ricas kultur.Dusch är varmt vatten på efterfrågan, så du kunde ändra temperaturen till varm eller kylare på duschbandet (baserat på säsongen).Små kök med de nödvändiga grunderna inkluderades. De rekommenderade bara turer och restauranger de var bekanta med och godkända. Nära en vacker nationell park med vattenfall finns alla typer av turer tillgängliga i detta område och bättre än Monteverde med rikligt vilda djur (vi såg 2 och 3 tåslots, toukaner, flockar i trädgården).Wifi-anslutningen var konsekvent. Jag skulle gå tillbaka i en hjärtslag."

"My wife and I spent a very enjoyable 3 days here in Feb. 2024. The lodge is beautiful, located within a working ranch and large private natural area. Our room was clean and comfortable. Although it was quite hot and dry, we enjoyed nature activities in the morning and evening, and lounging by the pool in the afternoon. Our favorite activities were birdwatching on our own or with guide Santos Molina. He was excellent - very knowledgeable and attentive to our interests. The birds were awesome! The staff were all competent and helpful. The food was delicious but options were limited. At check-in, I mentioned that I am lactose-intolerant, and they were very careful to not include dairy in my meals. I really appreciated that. We have only a couple suggestions for improvement: 1) have written materials for guests, such as a map, menu and price list for excursions; 2) do a better job of picking up litter."

"We had a wonderful stay at Cataraas Bijagua Lodge! Werner the owner/host was extremely accommodating and helpful in booking tours and advising us on what to do, and when to do it! The cabins are spacious, CLEAN, and modern, yet rustic, and right in the rain forest, steps to a trail right off the property that leads to a beautiful waterfall. There are several restaurants in the town of Bijagua (about a 5-6 minute drive from the Lodge), but we chose to eat all our dinners in the open air covered patio at the Lodge. Our main server, Natalie, was amazing and very friendly, and the food was delicious, especially the "Garlic Fish"! All the staff were great! If you're looking for a low-key, quiet retreat in the rain forest, this is it!! We'll be back! David & Joanie"
