"Finally, we arrived in Jogja. As it was the weekend and we didn't want to be in the middle of the crowd of the city, we tried to find a hotel in kind of in remote area. Well, too bad, out of our expectations, this hotel was full in capacity with a lot of kids. I didn't have many complaints regarding the room itself. The room is very spacious, traditional built, open-space bathroom, good AC, and good lighting inside the room as well. Water heater and water pressure were fine. For the wifi, it was hopeless, because we had to bear with non-wifi for our stay there. Thank God it was only 1 night. Actually they are 18 units in the hotel area. We were at Halmahera unit. Each unit has its own patio. However, since it is a traditional building with open space bathroom, we could hear neighbor's noise. Too bad, we had to listen the kid crying next door before our sleep at night and traffic noise that I didn't know if there was a road behind our unit. Breakfast was delivered to our room. The common area such as pool and sitting area are cozy with a lot of palm trees. Restaurant and spa room are in different location. The hotel offers shuttle for free to transport the guest from/to hotel and restaurant/spa room. We tried the massage in the spa room. It was a great experience. An open space facing to little forest with tons of trees. Just back to the nature while doing the couples massage. Restaurant is also an open space area. They have family cottages in this area with swimming pool as well. Guess this area is more suitable for guests coming with kids though. But, anyway, we were having good times with the massage though."

"I stayed three nights at Yabbiekayu as a solo traveller and it was a great retreat from Jakarta. Amel and Silvi looked after everything smoothly. I did a trip to Borobudur and a tour around Yogya, as well as the bike ride and yoga on my bungalow porch. It was a great balance of activities. The vegan food was amazing. I’d do it again just for the Yabbiekayu experience."

"Its most fabulous hotel which ive stayed ever! The family room and delux are spacious and well-decorated. I felt myself as in Kingdom time. The Garden is one of the famous Instagram point. There are a million museum pieces, which plunge you too incredible atmosphere. I recommend everyone to stay here, when do you get a chance to stay in Royal family Palace for so cheap price?! The staff is very open and hospitable.. Any questions were fixed fast, dont worry to ask about it. The manage is very openmind and supportive person, have a lot of advise and recommendations."

"A short week on a dream site Super pleasant setting and attentive staff There are two sites for the same hotel Family place and the other We had booked with our two daughters in the family village where there is the restaurant and a play area. When arriving, mistake the play area right in front of the accommodation a stage set up with large speakers the mini zoo right in front We asked to change and the miracle happened They showed us the rooms and other accommodation available in the other area (the reception area) and everything was perfect! Breakfast served at the foot of the room, crazy view of the cottage and the swimming pool In short, I recommend 30 min from Yogyakarta 1 hour from the two main temple sites Be careful on Friday to find a taxi :-)"

"Yabbiekayu is a beautiful way to experience Javanese rural village life. Set amongst the rice fields with a beautiful edible garden, our villa was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Particularly enjoyed the spacious patio and private outdoor bathroom I visited for two nights with my husband and 6-month-old baby... we didn't want to leave. Yabbiekayu's commitment to sustainability is genuine and apparent in almost every detail. The bungalows showcase traditional Javanese architectural designs that promote passive cooling, with plenty of shaded outdoor living spaces to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful ambience. In this way Yabbiekayu manages to create comfort through working with the environment rather than against it. Its staff members are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and create a welcoming, community feel to the resort. The restaurant served a variety of delicious food that tasted "home cooked", leaving us feeling revitalised and nourished. Highly recommend arranging a visit from the village masseuse, who was amazing. "
