"Because we were a couple, one adult and two children, we couldn't fit into a regular room, so we booked a suite. The exterior is beautiful, in the bustling area of Bordeaux. However, we were given a second-floor suite. Anyone who's stayed in an old European hotel knows that the second floor was originally a warehouse, with low ceilings and small windows. You can see the building just two meters away. ☹️ When booking, I requested a higher floor and a better view, but they completely ignored it. The decor is dated, and I had no desire to take photos. The only toiletries were Byredo, but I don't like the scent. 😭 I won't stay at this hotel again."

"First time to Bordeaux to participate in the red wine marathon. These are two things I like! The inefficiency, relaxation and slightly arrogant attitude of the French are the reasons why I don't like them. This restaurant turned out to be a Japanese restaurant. It's not bad if you can choose the wine you like, but there was no hot main course. As an exception, I was given a bowl of French-Japanese style Chinese vegetable noodles! Finally, the next day, my Boston Marathon commemorative jacket was gone. In addition, I was overcharged by more than 2,700 euros at the checkout. They said it was a mistake. At first, they refused to give me the bill. In the end, I found out that it was a mistake. I almost called the police before they admitted their mistake. This issue has always been in a state of inconclusiveness. Ctrip's communication is also pale and powerless. It seems that Ctrip is not influential enough overseas, especially in Europe. By the way, the parking fee is 40 euros per night..."

It's in the heart of Bordeaux, a very convenient location. Most attractions and shopping spots are within walking distance, about 10-15 minutes' walk each 🤭. The cleanliness was commendable, and the other guests were very quiet and friendly."

"A most charming place, ideally situated with "everything" in Bordeaux withing walking distance. The house is built in the 18th centuary and quite picturesque. Our room was large and nicely decorated, but there were small deficiencies which together make up for a rating not above average. One such thing is that the shower was spraying water all over the place. Another thing is breakfast which is "continental", i e rather frugal. A third thing, and quite irritative, is that you´ll have to pay in cash as cards are not accepted."
B&B l'Escapade Bordelaise
"Julien is a superb host. He is extremely helpful and engaging, with the needs of his guests at heart. The central location meant we were near transport options and many of the sights and areas we wished to visit. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Julien services the room every day. Breakfast consisted of delicious plain croissants, two types of bread, jams, three types of muesli, yoghurt, juice, and tea and coffee. You can use the kitchen facilities day and night yourself, too. The place has a charm about it, and is very quiet at night. We had the Grand Hommes room, which is the only room situated downstairs via a spiral staircase. It was a little musty and dark. Opening the large windows is an option to deal with that, but that allows mosquitoes in. As there are buildings directly opposite, the open windows means your privacy is compromised, or, if you close the black curtains, it’s dark. Julien has a device that discourages mosquitoes from entering but we still had a few! Note that all the upstairs rooms we saw were light and bright, though."
