Felix Hotel Darmstadt ★★

📍 Kasinostraße 4, Darmstadt

"I was booked into the "Felix" as part of the HR bike tour. Looking at the hotel from the outside, you might think it's been empty for some time... Unfortunately, the first impression isn't misleading. Several hundred cyclists were booked here - the reception was completely understaffed and overwhelmed with just three (!) people. The fact that time slots were set for breakfast is somewhat understandable - but perhaps it would be better to sell fewer rooms if the space isn't sufficient. On the day of arrival, the shower was lukewarm at best - when I pointed this out, they said they had checked it out. Well, the next morning, the water was completely cold... Unfortunately, there was no one at the reception to follow up. The icing on the cake, however, was the notice that the (advertised...) hotel bar was closed in the evening because they "didn't have enough seating." I would have been the only guest at 10:15 PM... I then moved to another hotel at my own expense for the (booked) second night."

Maritim Hotel Darmstadt ★★★★
"Hotellet ligger nära Darmstadt centrala tågstationen med enkel tillgång till Frankfurt.Men det är inte så nära att det är bullrigt.Hotellets frukost hade många alternativ och var verkligen smakfull.Hotellet och rummen är mycket rena. Balkonen var en trevlig överraskning."

Felix Hotel Darmstadt ★★
"Zero or negative rating is not available as they deserve zero rating. It is the most basic IBIS hotel, disguised under façade, Felix Hotels. They are friendly until they get your money, thereafter the flip 100% and make your life into a living hell. They promised airconditioned room during booking, but there was zero cool air in the room. Could not get any sleep for three nights, while temperature in the room was above 35 degrees. Every hour I complained, they couldn't care less; they even refused to change my room. Promised tea/ coffee making facilities in the room in writing during booking, but refused it on arrival, citing not available to anyone. The mattress was so soft and cheap, I developed back pain after two nights. The carpets were disgusting and smelly. There was no fridge or safe in the hotel. Most rooms are on a busy street, from the traffic noise you get no sleep. If you ask for any thing, the answer is always no. Very rigid and arrogant staff. I had a very sad stay in this dump."

"Designen är mycket bra och avslappnande. Jag stannade i en kostym med kök. Lobbyn har gratis kaffe, Cappuccino maskin. Tjänstemän hade en bra inställning, men det var tröttsamt att anlända till hotellet klockan sju på morgonen och inte ha rummet redo förrän klockan tre. Jag stannar nog en gång till."
