"The worst hotel I have ever been in...avoid, and do not look at any good reviews; the hotel has since been taken over. I was willing to overlook getting a single room when I booked a double. And was also incredibly forgiving over the misleading photos online. *Only one towel for hands/body/hair *One little bottle of body wash to be used for shower/hair and also for washing hands at sink. *The shower stopped halfway through use and eventually came back on with colder water, made a horrible wailing noise throughout. *There was no hot water in the sink *The milk went out of date in February 2025. *The coffee went out of date in 2022 and 2023 - no date on the tea bags but I'll assume they were out of date too. *The bedding was dirty and had hairs in it. *General cleanliness: cobwebs, spiders, dust and hairs. Overall incredibly disappointing. I booked as an emergency accommodation half an hour before I arrived, I decided to leave at 11pm so I could contest for a refund which the owner is being incredibly difficult about. The "resolution" he offered me was to remove the man from the room I was supposed to have been booked in to - at 10:45pm! Opted staying in my car over this hotel. How this place is still trading is an absolute mystery, a complete shame and disgrace to Scottish hospitality."
