"Lovely location close to Scala, beautiful beach within walking distance, apartments are clean tidy and have a wonderful view to the sea. The pool area is well kept and offers sun longers. The host, Sonia, was friendly and works hard with the upkeep of the property. This is a small lovely relaxing complex where you can totally unwind, I will return, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Ostrias House to all that enjoy a nice peaceful stay on this island paradise."

Poseidon Apartments

"Recently returned from a lovely relaxing holiday in Skala. The Poseidon apartments were a great place to stay and are located just off the main street. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The apartment, communal areas and gardens were spotlessly clean and well maintained. The lady who cleaned our room did an excellent job and was very friendly. The location was perfect as the majority of bars and restaurants are within a few minutes walk and the beach around 5-6 minute walk away. We used the pool at Makis Hotel, approximately an 8 minute walk away. The rooms were quiet at night and we slept very well. On a couple of nights we enjoyed chilling on our balcony listening to the music from the nearby bar. The music was not loud and finished around midnight. The apartments were very good value for money and I can highly recommend."

Kalypso Hotel

"Lovely small hotel.We had a spacious room with lots of storage space for our clothes.Air con worked wonderfully,and a safe was available on request,free of charge.Our balcony was a decent size,and it was lovely to sit out there with a glass of chilled wine,reading or listening to the cicadas.The bathroom too was adequate,and we managed not to flood it,which is a bonus.Everything was kept really clean by the hard working ladies. Breakfast was more than adequate,but my only criticism is that items could have been refilled more often. Please enjoy hotel and say hello to the cute little black and white cat,also named Kalypso!"

Filoxenia Hotel & Apartments

"The Hotel was spotlessly clean , rooms were spacious and up to date. Beautiful views and very very quiet. The hosts were polite and friendly too. Please be aware , the location is not ideal , I've just left after a 3 night stay and checked in somewhere closer to the town, to finish my 7 night stay , unless you are in your 20s the walk up and down the hill is a killer , especially when it's in the 30s ! If you don't plan on hiring a car , this hotel is NOT for you . Even our transfer refused to go up as the vehicle struggled. We had a lovely big balcony, you could see for miles , but you couldn't sit on the balcony and shut the door to keep mosquitos out , there is no handle outside ! We were eaten alive come bed time , to the point we had to visit the pharmacy as we were bitten that bad !"
