"Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in all things considered. Stunning value, an amazing chilled vibe somewhat like a country club or high-end home created by Frans, and an outstanding location. The grounds are extensive with a 2 k walk within them, and the most extraordinary flora and fauna. Breakfast was served al fresco, and the team had sugar water and bird food out so that the exotic and extraordinary birds were ever present; utterly charming and so relaxing. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and all have an outside balcony or seating area and views over the ocean. It is a great base for exploring Wilderness and just relaxing in the grounds or using the pool and soaking up the sun. All you can hear is birds, or cicadas at night, and the distant sound of crashing waves. I would return in a heartbeat."

"Beside Still Waters is such a beautiful & peaceful place to stay. The hosts Ronelle and Stephaan are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the lovely cottage with 4 adults. It was very comfortable and clean. Enough space with a very nice veranda and a wonderful view of the Bo Langvlei lake. We enjoyed the amazing sunsets and birdsinging in the beautiful garden. Lots of nice things to do in the neighbourhood. Lovely beaches, the nearest is only a 5 minute drive. Very good restaurants. Nice hikes, birdwatch, kayaking. Great markets, on Wednessday @ Rondevlei and on Saturday @ Sedgefield. Highly recommended. We loved staying there. "
