"Right outside the JR station, we saw staff holding signs, and even though the hotel is very close to the station, the pickup service was a nice bonus. The hotel environment is great, and the service is excellent. The hot spring water was incredibly smooth, making for a very comfortable soak. I tried all three different onsen baths, and it felt wonderful."

"Overall, I was impressed. All the staff were very helpful. The room was compact. The onsen was good. The breakfast was delicious and well-prepared for customers. The hotel is about 15-20 minute walk from the Gero train station but there are shuttle bus according to the schedule. I recommend going on weekdays when it's easy to find a restaurant."

"This was my second stay, and the experience was just as great. The room was clean and comfortable. They have staff who speak Chinese, and they were very attentive, recommending nearby hot springs and restaurants. The owner also speaks a little Chinese. The simple breakfast was fantastic, and the hot soup was delicious! You can leave your luggage at the 1F lobby during check-in or check-out, and they can also arrange a taxi for you. Highly recommended!"

"The view was amazing, and the hospitality was fantastic. The panoramic view of the mountains and the Hida River from the high ground from the windows was truly amazing. My husband, who loves trains, was very impressed to be able to watch the trains passing over the iron bridge. It was a surprise for him as he had no idea about it. The hallway to the private dining room was also an exciting, wonderful space that gave us a taste of the extraordinary, and we were also impressed by the hospitality of the waitresses. Each dish of food was carefully prepared and delicious, and healthy for our bodies. We would definitely recommend this inn to others."

"The hotel front desk staff couldn't communicate in English. Unlike some tourist hotels that primarily employ foreign workers, this hotel mainly has Japanese staff, many of whom are from neighboring Japanese cities. Local residents can enjoy the hot springs for less than 1000 yen. I arrived quite late, and thankfully, Trip.com arranged a pick-up service. It was 8 PM at Hida-Hagiwara Station, completely deserted, when I saw the hotel's dedicated car – I was so touched! I can't imagine what I would have done without it. It was snowy and freezing, and we had missed dinner. We asked the driver if he could stop at a convenience store along the way so we could buy some food, and he readily agreed. A big thank you to this hotel employee! My only complaints are: 1. The food quality was just average, and it was pretty much the same for several days, which was a bit... but if you don't book meals, the surrounding area is quite desolate with no restaurants or convenience stores. 2. It's an old hotel with no elevator, so carrying large luggage was a bit of a struggle!"

On the return trip, the hotel sent someone to drive us back to the station. Although the hotel was a little old, it was quite clean. Soaking in the hot spring water at Gero Onsen made my skin feel smooth and silky – it was a wonderful experience!"

"Nice hotel w Onsen.Eftersom detta hotell är lite gammalt har byggnaden några trappor att gå till gästrum hissar.Försök att packa ljus eller separata paket så att man förhindrar att bära tunga bagage upp trapporna. Mycket bra spridning av frukost och middagsbuffet."

"I stayed here for one night because it's close to Gero Station. The curry udon noodles here were perfectly balanced; the smooth, soft-boiled egg and the spiciness of the curry blended flawlessly. Rice is charged separately, but the curry udon noodles were delicious and went very well with rice. Although I only stayed one night, it was a wonderful memory to relax and enjoy the delicious soft-boiled egg curry udon noodles."
