"Detta hotell hade fantastisk service, med fantastisk personal, läckra mat och rymliga rena rum.Solrönen var vacker varje morgon, och hotellet har en privat strand, samt tre stora pooler. Jag rekommenderar 100% att alla stannar här, personalen fick oss alla att känna oss mycket speciella och vi hade alla en bra tid."

"No smiles or warm welcome upon arrival. Treated more as an inconvenience from the start. Extremely disappointed with this stay. I splurged on an ocean view. Only to have a vendor directly below my balcony on the property providing no privacy whatsoever - and additional noise. There were holes in the mosquito nets, providing little protection. The open shower is on a decline that runs water into the vanity and toilet area. The floors are light in color so you cannot see it until you exit the shower and slip. I used every tail in the room to clean up the water. This was communicated with the staff with no apology, and worse - no offer to provide a different room. There were plenty as this was low season. They were up front about "beach boy" encounters But not to the extent I experienced. I was literally corralled buy so many that I could barely make it back to the hotel. There is zero security control over this on the property. There is construction going on on both sides of this property. BIG hotels going up with constant noise until sundown. I could not get out of this place fast enough. I booked and paid for 3 nights. I stayed only one. There was not one penny of reimbursement for any and convenience at all. They do have a non-refundable policy that is clearly stated in bold. At the very least, they should have offered a room that was equal to what I thought I was paying for. Unsafe. Uncomfortable. Unfriendly. In no way whatsoever, is this a quaint little resort. Management was unavailable. I left a personal letter at the desk ( loud TV noise coming from the check and desk - sounded like someone was playing a video game. I also emailed management. All communication was ignored. I sincerely hope this review helps someone else moving forward."

"Vi stannade här under vårt besök i Zanzibar.En vacker plats, bra plats, en promenad för att rengöra, väl underhållen strand.Fem minuters promenad till Kongowea Pier restaurang. Hotellrummen var stora, renade dagligen, kvällsgardin ritade, insektsspray, mosquito nät ritade.Skönt avkopplande porch, en trappa som tillhandahölls för att hänga baddräkter vid porch, frukost var väl organiserad så det var lunch och middag. Poolen var underbar, liten, exklusiv och avslappnad. Personalen är fantastisk, vänlig, hjälpsam och alltid leende Min enda frustration var sanden på vägen, gå vidare med sandaler på middagstid var alltid en utmaning och frustrerad men fick ge in efter en dag, Det var dags att slappna av så att sandalerna slogs och bara fötter gick.Det kommer definitivt att besöka igen."

The staff are the kindest and most dedicated people you will ever meet ensuring your stay is perfect. The location is isolated for relaxation while still being within reasonable distance from anything you want! I would recommend the Kena villas to anyone travelling to Zanzibar who wants to make their trip extra special!"

"Vi stannade här 3 nätter, och kunde komma överens om att detta är det trevligaste hotellet vi har varit till!Atmosfären var så avslappnande, och personalen var fantastisk.Vi hade fullbordet, och mat var läckra! Lobster, krabbor, nötkött, tonfisk - tre kurser för varje måltid Dessutom erbjuder hotellet aktiviteter som lokalt fiske och uthyrning av snorkel- och paddlingredskap gratis.Vi gjorde också en massage, en romantisk middag och njöt av vår frukost i bungalow. Inget negativt att säga, rekommenderar verkligen denna plats!"

"Beautiful spot just off the beach! The room was clean with great AC and a fan, the (free) breakfast was DELICIOUS (they even fixed me gluten free), and the staff were friendly and helpful. A bit of a journey to get there (almost 2 hours from the airport) but would stay again. Easy, short walk to the beach, and super quiet hotel!"

"Don't support this place; they abuse animals. I witnessed a staff member take a stick to chase a dog away. I understand the need to poke it, but the staff member started hitting the dog in the head. The dog started whining and running away. Dogs are apparently paralyzed by fear of this staff, too. I've noticed the signs before. I said out loud that I didn't like it, and I couldn't help but write it online."

"We liked the hotel; the staff was very polite and helped us with every question. The rooms are spacious and have everything we needed. The road to the beach is not very good, and there's a lot of trash, but that's typical of Zanzibar. We had a great time."
