Hotel Riu Paraiso Lanzarote - All Inclusive

"If you like Self Catering, then this is the Hotel for you. We have been to many RIU Hotels, but this is the first one where you have to got to the bar to top up Coffee, Tea, Sugar, Milk and Water for your room! When we go on Holiday, we expect to be looked after. Not having to go fetch items that should be replenished by staff. Having said that, all other parts of Hotel are very good and well organised. All the staff are so happy and courteous. The food in all restaurant was perfect. A big choice of hot and cold very tasty dishes. Could not fault them, as we had something different every day. The food is absolutely wonderful! Our room (05) needs updating. Not the best room we have had at a RIU, chipped cupboard door, badly marked walls, shower leaks onto floor (large gap all the way down the door) no dressing table in bedroom, just a small unit to put suitcase on. Or room was in a central position of the hotel. Ideal for going to either pools and close to gate to beach . We hired a car and explored the island. Looks like this Hotel is in the best area and ideal for the beach. The beach is lovely, with plenty of sun beds. The sea was warm and shallow, you can walk a long was out. Unfortunately, we would not rush back to another Riu Hotel, if the rest are like this one."

"The property is new, clean, and functional. The reception staff is truly excellent. Super helpful, ready to help, and friendly. The rooms are all new, and part of the resort is still under construction. We had a suite, so it was very, very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was also excellent. The food was fresh, good, and varied EVERY DAY. A meat or fish BBQ was available every evening. Omelets, French toast, and eggs cooked to order every morning for breakfast. The staff was also always very attentive and helpful, smiling, and kind. Every morning, gardeners and housekeepers cleaned the entire area around the pool, watered the gardens, and took care of everything. The pool was very beautiful and clean, and the towel service was excellent. The rooms were also made up and cleaned every day. Fresh towels were provided every day, and within a week, they even changed our sheets. It was a truly fantastic stay. The only "negative" things (if you really want to find them) were the presence of a few cockroaches in the gardens in the evenings, caused by the numerous plants and palm trees, which were never swept properly or mopped from the floor in the room. I could tell by the hair that remained on the floor. But these are negligible details. Everything else was taken care of and cleaned."

"Had a fantastic stay here in beautiful 2 bed apartment! Check in was perfect, kind and informative. Apartment was exceptional, clean and gorgeous and the drinking water tap was a huge bonus to have in Lanzarote Our family is older , kids ages 17 and 18 and this place was perfect, quality , quite and relaxing. Pool was cold , but they always are and it’s a nice cooling down from the heat! We re not early risers so didn’t get beds by the pool but by the afternoon, we had no problem. And to be honest, I’m NEVER going to do that morning rush for sunbed! The lounge area had beds available and they were perfect for us. The view from there was fab too so we were really happy. Location was perfect, close to bars shops and restaurants, we used the bottom gates directly down onto the strip so Cardiac hill wasn’t a problem for us! People with mobility issues would find it troublesome xx Apartment was clean and had sunbeds on patio anyway, and table and chairs. It was just perfect for us! One of our best places to stay we ve come across, after about 15 years of staying in Lanzarote! Will definitely be back, thank u xx"

"Nice hotel at the top of an hill. Only 10 min walk down to old town and beach. Food was very nice good selection for breakfast and evening meal. Plenty of sunbeds even thou people still reserved them. Room was a bit dated. No shower screen or curtain around shower so water went every where. But they do provide you with a mop and bucket."

"Large house with open views and the sea in the distance in a very quiet environment. We chose the junior suite with sea view more than a month before our arrival, which was offered on their website at €319 per night, non-refundable and debited immediately. This room is now offered at €246 for the day after our departure. Over 5 nights, the difference is substantial! No one to welcome us, we receive door codes by email. There is a bar near the pool but closed, empty. A large living room at the entrance with a piano and a sign: do not touch, you have to turn on the lights otherwise the room remains in the dark, no music, no warm atmosphere, we have the impression of being in an empty house. The decoration is modern but very heterogeneous. The only people in the house that we saw for 5 days were the service people, very friendly by the way."

"Drick i en utmärkt position och mycket söt utåt, men klänningen gör inte munken ... Ställplats och ingenting ljudlös, kände folk som talade utanför natten och verkligen irriterade. Coupterrassen var smutsig och badrummets fönster är på taket och svåra att öppna och stänga. Vi bad om glutenfri frukost för en av oss och tyvärr satte damen glutenfri bröd på samma glutenfria brödskärare,så försäkrad kontaminering.Vi har gjort en eländig frukost bara en dag, l Vi har valt att göra nåt annat för att vara i paket på supermarknaden."
