"From the bus arrival in Lençóis to the guesthouse, it's about a 10-minute walk, rolling your suitcase over cobblestones, before climbing a steep ramp to the reception. The guesthouse's structure is basic but tasteful, everything is organized, and the staff is extremely helpful and smiling. The rooms are not luxurious and have a small dresser, sofa bed, and empty mini-fridge. The shower in the bathroom heats up quickly, and the spacious balcony has hooks for a hammock and a table. There are not enough electrical outlets in the room. There are 4-star hotels with worse breakfasts; the guesthouse's is more than complete, especially with fresh seasonal fruit juices and delicious cakes. Recommendations for tours or private guides are made at reception, always very helpful, including tips on hiking trails. The center of Lençóis and its houses are about a 5-minute walk away. Obviously, the daily rates were quite high due to the Carnival period, but I imagine that in other months the good value for money is more evident."

"We stayed a couple of nights here in this lovely hotel with beautiful gardens. Its about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Lencois. Our room was lovely, the staff very helpful and google translate helped with our non existent Portugese. The owner and lovely chap in the restaurant speak excellent English though. The breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the evening meal food we had was not great."
