"Visiterade Ikaros resort i slutet av april med min fru och vuxen son, hade vi två trädgårdsutsiktsrum.Resorten är vacker, mycket ren, med mycket väl underhållna trädgårdar och byggnader, och i en stor plats med sin egen strand och stora utsikter från klipporna. Vi gick alla inklusiva, jag var mycket imponerad av kvaliteten och mångfalden av färskt kokta mat, alltid väl presenterade.Aldrig hade en dålig måltid för frukost, lunch eller kvällsmåltid över sju dagar.Killar bakom varje bar gör utmärkta cocktails. Alla hotellrestauranger är mycket bra, personalen och kockarna är mycket logi.All personal i hela resorten är en kredit till hotellet, mycket hjälpsam och vänlig. **Speciellt nämns den dam som arbetar i den lilla alcove motsatt mottagning och hyr bilar och erfarenheter, hon är en kredit till detta hotell, vilken vänlig och söt karaktär att prata med **.Spa-området och gymmet är första klass, väl underhållet. Vi hade en dag på stranden och de flesta runt de vackra poolområdena, alltid laster av sängar tillgängliga, men det var april.Vi hade ett trädgårdsutsiktsrum, som var vackert, fantastiskt dusch, rengjort till en hög standard dagligen. Jag har gett resorten 4 stjärnor (vill ha röstat 4.5).Jag skulle definitivt ha gett 5 stjärnor, om vi hade ett tyst rum bort från överföringsdrop-off-området, vilket kan bli bullrigt under natten.Tips** begär ett rum bort från drop-off-området, gåvobutiken. Detta är en enda vuxen resort, mycket tyst, kallt och avkopplande.En bra blandning av nationaliteter.Jag tror alltid att den bästa indikatorn för en ärlig översyn är att jag återvänder, ja det skulle jag definitivt."

"The hotel is very nice, we weren't given the room we booked but they did rectify it , our room was nice,clean and good outside area, pool was amazing sunbed area excellent exceptional clean, breakfast was ok the breakfast lady was so lovely, night security guy was brilliant, bar staff very nice and polite, a couple of older members of staff a lady with blonde hair and a older man weren't as friendly, room cleaners were lovely and friendly , drinks were ok, cocktails not so good, food was very nice especially the club sandwiches and curly fries. Overall I'd give it a 7/10 there is room for improvement. But we enjoyed our stay!"

"We went on a girls holiday and the hotel was good, all the staff were lovely especially George who sorted out our room. To any girls visiting please be careful and come back to the hotel in big groups, not the hotels fault but had a dangerous experience outside walking back. The security guard and staff were all helpful following it"

"We had a TERRIBLE start to our holiday at a resort in Analipsi and when we arrived at Socrates we wanted to go home but the staff here were amazing. Maria was so nice and she gave us tips on where to go, our room wasn’t ready yet so we went out to the bar/ restaurant by the pool and DESPINA was great. She served us and made it a point to learn our names. It was a personalised experience and she makes the best cocktails. Everyday at this place was magical. We had a slight issue with the room and the hotel dealt with it ASAP and always had a smile on their face. It felt like being at home with them. We were chewed by mosquitoes literally eaten alive during the day walking around and Despina came running over with a bite gel, gave us some and like a mother would, told us not to scratch haha but honestly best place to stay, we will definitely be back. "Hotellet var ok och under dagen är en mycket kyld plats om du är en ung turist som utforskar Malia. Men när vi kom tillbaka på en natt, pratade nattpersonalen till oss (särskilt honorna) på ett mycket hårt sätt. Vi satt på balkongen och pratade tyst mellan oss och han beordrade oss kontinuerligt att gå och lägga oss och frågade om vi var advokater om några frågor ställdes, även när vi kom tillbaka före midnatt. Värmemässigt var vädret underbart men hotellet begärde att du betalade 10 € per natt för luftkonditioneringen, som vi antog skulle vara en del av hotellkostnaden. Tyvärr var det inte så att hotellet kostade 70 € extra per vecka om du ville att ditt rum skulle ha en levande temperatur, särskilt på en natt. Sättet vi blev pratade med och behandlade på, särskilt på en kväll, var väldigt brutalt för ett semestermål känt för sitt nattliv och vi kommer inte att bo på detta hotell igen."

"The hotel pool and restaurant were stunning; I can't deny that. The breakfast buffet was absolutely lovely as well. There weren't as many options at dinner, but it was still okay. That's about all this hotel has going for it, to be honest. The hotel really is in the middle of nowhere with the nearest shop being a 15 minute walk up hill with no foot paths (not ideal in 35° heat). There really ought to be a shop within the hotel premises. The hotel has a strange layout. Upon arrival, we were shown to our executive room, which was the furthest from the hotel pool and restaurant. Initially, the room seemed modern, but it lacked certain basic necessities that you would expect from a 4-star hotel. There was no full-length mirror, the curtain was not large enough to cover our terrace door nor were they blackout curtains, and the air conditioning was not great and could only be used while we were in the room as it required a special metal key to activate. Room service was not great either. For a 4-star hotel, I would expect it every day, but we only had it 3 times during our 7-day trip. Towels were an issue as well. On the day of our arrival, the wet room shower flooded due to inadequate drainage, and we had to use our towels to clear it up. Later the following day, while I was walking through reception, I was rudely beckoned by a lady with glasses at the reception desk. "You, girl, come here," she said. She asked me what she was supposed to do with a bag of our towels, insisting she couldn't clean them (they were perfectly clean, just wet). I explained that our shower was broken, and instead of sending someone to fix it, she told me to inform someone else. This was extremely uncomfortable, as it happened in front of other hotel guests. This same lady also had a heated altercation with who I assumed was her young son right in the middle of reception. He stormed out of the hotel and sped off on his motorbike. This should not happen I don’t of paying hotel guests. In this hotel, you charge items to your room. Every time I went to the bar to do so, the staff would laugh among themselves about what I had said, almost as if there was some sort of inside joke. Although I found most of the staff to be passive-aggressive, the older lady with dark hair, who said she was in charge of the restaurant, and two other young girls were very lovely and nice to chat with. Check-out is at 10 am. This was not clearly advised anywhere apart from in the lengthy book in our room with hotel information. We headed straight to reception at 10:30 am after realising that check-out was at 10 am, as we had assumed it was the standard 11 am. This is very early, considering that on the days room service did arrive, it wasn't until after 3 pm! We were then charged a €10 late fee, even though the book stated €7.
