The beach is just a few minutes' walk away. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a nice atmosphere and close proximity to nature – I wholeheartedly recommend it!"

"Outpost är verkligen ett bra val för Weligama resa under säsongen.Vid sidan av den tysta delen av thr stranden, smakfull (men inte billig) kaffe, bekväma rum och mycket hjälpsam personal, stark WiFi. Men för offseason kan vara lite offshore.Inget kaffe runt, inget på stranden, behöver gå till någon butik eller aktivitet. Flera punkter för att göra din vistelse mer bekväm: 1.Rumsservice på begäran 2.I strandutrymmen är sängarna inte fastställda till bord bakom dem (som du ser på bilden).Var försiktig, det rör sig =) Fråga om fotdusch framför hotellet.Det är lite gömt."

"We stayed at this resort during our Sri Lanka trip in April 2026.This resort is really nice however we faced some issues at the reception. Firstly during check-in we weren’t offered a Welcome drink which other guests were offered and also the guy at the reception desk handed over room keys as if he is doing us a favour by giving us early check-in (even though the time was already past 2pm) When we informed the team leader about this she promptly apologised and sent us some chocolates as a token of apology. Location: Beautiful location besides the ocean with direct view from rooms and also entry to the beach.Also cafés,restaurants and clubs are nearby. Rooms: Rooms are clean and tidy.Only issue was with the balcony door which was swollen maybe due to humidity.AC was also working well.Spacious room for 3. Food: We had breakfast and dinner here and there was lots of tasty varieties in the buffet including Sinhalese menu.The Chef also offered us to cook freshly caught rock lobster for lunch but sadly we had checkout that time. Service: It was prompt and staff is also courteous (except for that instance at reception) Mr Ajantha was very jolly & kind and he entertained us very well on the dance floor.Staff at the dining area was very friendly and courteous and treated us well.Swimming pool is also clean and quite big. Overall it’s a good property to stay and would also recommend it."

"Coming to Marriott truly gives you that vacation feeling. Everything from the hotel's amenities and service to the surrounding environment makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. First, the service: since there were no triple rooms or family rooms available when booking, we only reserved a twin room. However, the hotel proactively converted the sofa into a sofa bed for us, solving our child's sleeping arrangement. Second, the hotel's ground floor offers many free entertainment facilities like foosball, table tennis, and billiards. The pool isn't huge, but there are frequent live performances, enhancing the relaxed atmosphere. Moreover, the hotel boasts a superb location right in the heart of Mirissa Bay. From our room's balcony, we had an endless view of the Indian Ocean and rolling waves, which was incredibly beautiful. It's worth mentioning that surfing is a must-try at Marriott; I heard the waves here are perfect for beginners. Looking around, the entire coastline is dotted with surfers, but because the coast is so vast, it never feels crowded, which is incomparable to surfing spots in China (like Houhai). The beach is also very fine, with no broken shells or corals, which is also great for surfing (friends who have surfed in Houhai will understand). However, a word of caution to Chinese tourists: if you're heading to the beach from the hotel and encounter coaches renting surfboards, you *must* haggle aggressively down from their initial quote, then negotiate slowly. The actual cost can vary significantly depending on peak or off-peak season, so I won't go into specifics here. All in all, you won't regret choosing Marriott when in Mirissa, and surfing is definitely an experience not to be missed."

"We had a wonderful time at W15 in Weligama. The hotel is right by the beach, so we could hear the waves and enjoy the ocean view every day. It’s a stylish and clean place, with a calm and peaceful feeling that made me feel relaxed as soon as we arrived. The staff were super kind and helpful. They always made sure we were comfortable. Our room was cozy and nicely decorated, with everything we needed. One of our favorite parts was the pool. The views were stunning. The hotel is definitely a great spot for surfing, chilling, or just watching the sunset. W15 is a wonderful choice for your trip to Weligama."

At the front desk, no one knows what they are doing. The hotel is run-down/not yet finished, but it is definitely not tourist-friendly (especially for those coming from another country). I highly do not recommend."

"We were the first Chinese guests at this villa, and the price in Mirissa was excellent. The villa itself is beautiful, and the rooms are very clean. We particularly enjoyed the fish at breakfast, though we weren't big fans of the other dishes. Just a heads-up, any food beyond the breakfast provided by the owner comes with an extra charge, so make sure to ask beforehand. Laundry service is available, but it also incurs an additional fee, so remember to inquire about that too!"

"It's a bit of a walk from the beach, maybe a 20-minute walk. The room was very nice, with a large bed and was clean, but there were quite a few mosquitoes, so you need to spray plenty of mosquito repellent. Since we went whale watching early the next morning, we specifically told the butler to wait until we got back for breakfast. We returned around 11:30 am, haha, and the butler was very kind and made us breakfast—it was plentiful. Toast, butter, and an omelet—I was quite satisfied, haha."
