"I chose this hotel because of it's location to the beach and Nessebar old town which were both fantastic. The second factor was its spa facilities which were non existent. There was a steam room and Sauna that were rarely turned on and one masseur who would lear at the ladies on the beach. There was no way his hands were coming anywhere near me. Really disappointing. The beach was lovely but the 'beach service ' assistant was awful. Rude is an understatement. We went to the beach once and he was so obnoxious when we took an ashtray from a bed that, we were to find out later, could be rented at extra cost. He was so aggressive and snatched the ashtray away without any explanation. He then sat all day snearing at the guests. We used the pool after this. The pool was lovely but, yet again, the pool assistant was rude and unwelcoming. We were not told that you needed a ticket to take a beach towel. He very sharply pointed to the desk and barked at us and everyone else who were ill informed about this on arrival. The loungers were plentiful but hard plastic with no padding, making them extremely uncomfortable. I had 2 of my own towels but they were not enough to make them any easier to lay on. The pool bar was ok but the cocktails at the lounge bar were much nicer. The food was ok. Typical of most all inclusive hotels. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. The only negative comment would be that nothing was ever hit enough. The dining room staff were refreshingly friendly. The hotel was clean but the rooms were tired. Our curtains didn't even fit the windows but it was clean enough. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this hotel, purely due to the rudeness of the staff. I don't expect red carpet treatment but a smile and respectful manner should be the minimum requirement when hiring staff."

"Allt i allt mycket trevligt hotell med bra mat och vänlig personal.För oss mycket hood plats bort från huvudsakliga bullriga områden men nära nog att gå eller fånga minitågstranden hade ett privat område för gäster gratis. Jag skulle ha gett fem stjärnor, men jag har några duschar i rummet var fattig och läckte genom badskärmen bara en dålig design skulle ha haft ett regnhuvud. 2 Om du har en hyrbil du kommer att behöva betala för parkering 11 euro per natt jag blev inte informerad om detta så det var en ovälkommen tillägg på checkout. 3 utanför din semesterpaket blir dyra om du har en sen flygning hem och vill ha ett rum extension det kommer att kosta 25 euro per timme. Checkout vid 12:00 så ytterligare 6 timmar 150 euro Om du vill ha en kvällsmåltid som en annan 35 euro vardera men snackbarmat är bra och billigare och bastu-shower är fria att använda efter checkout om jag skulle återvända till Bulgarien Jag skulle använda detta hotell igen men jag var inte imponerad av den soliga stranden och föredrog de grekiska öarna"

"I had the privilege of spending a vacation at this hotel for the second time within the last five years, but this time with my wife and our little 8-month-old baby. I was extremely excited to arrive because years ago I had worked, not at this exact hotel, but at another hotel of the same type. As someone who has worked in many hotel chains and currently works as a construction site manager for a large company in the capital, I would like to express my opinion about the hotel. I will address each head manager separately. I will provide constructive criticism, but how they choose to take it is their own responsibility. - Front Office Manager: From the very first day of our arrival, I noticed there was a serious issue with the window frames in the room. I asked for something to be done about it. The receptionist said she would send a technician. A few hours later, I had to ask another receptionist again for a solution to the problem. He responded by changing our room immediately. The issue with the second room was that we were placed above Neptune Hall, where a children’s disco and evening show program are held until 11:00 PM. That night, our baby could not fall asleep until 11:30 PM because of the noise. My constructive criticism is this: when guests have children, rooms should be selected very carefully. Even during the busiest season, such guests should never be accommodated in rooms with faulty windows, broken refrigerators, or near this hall, because there is no way of knowing when the weather might turn bad and the show will be moved indoors. - Housekeeping Manager: Since I stayed in three different rooms, I want to say that the cleaning standards are good, but there is one huge downside in the rooms. What is the most important thing during a vacation? Sleep. If the sleep quality is poor, then the vacation becomes poor as well. The hotel beds are beyond criticism. Over all the years I have visited this hotel, one thing has never changed — the mattresses and pillows. Nothing about them reflects a 5-star hotel standard. For both the hotel’s and guests’ convenience, the easiest solution would be double-sided memory foam mattresses. In this case, guests who dislike soft beds could sleep on the firmer side of the mattress, and vice versa. Pillows are also very important, but the mattress above all. - F&B Manager: For a bartender, it is important that cocktails are appreciated and admired by guests. I am not someone who drinks alcohol, but one thing was unclear to me. When I asked at 9:45 PM whether they could make me a coffee with fresh milk instead of powdered milk from the machine, the bartender Valentina gave me a very strict look and replied rather rudely that it was not possible. Now, I am a very understanding person and not demanding like many of the guests who come to the hotel during May, but her attitude was inappropriate — not only at that specific moment, but throughout the rest of the day. This so-called bartender either needs"

"So looking forward to our holiday but to be honest we are very disappointed.. the lack of evening entertainment and the bar shuts at 10 pm.. one member of bar staff so the queue is horrendous.. no bar snacks.. the daytime snack bar isn’t a snack bar at all.. never have I been to a hotel that doesn’t have a self serving snack bar with burgers , sandwiches, salad and chips etc.. to save you dressing properly and going into the restaurant.. The choice of food in the evening is very limited.. it’s like a budget all inclusive.. they clearly don’t want you eating or drinking.. needs a serious update and to find out what all inclusive really means …the bar and restaurant cooks are rude and unprofessional.. Spoke to lots of guests and they all said the same thing .. very disappointing and unfortunately we will definitely not be returning or recommending this hotel to any of our friends… lack of information about anything and cards to access the lift AND toilets .. ridiculous…"

Entertainment team have been amazing and very kind and helpful. Loved playing darts everyday. They keep you busy and having fun. Beach is nearby with lots of great restaurants too. 10/10 holiday"

"Vi är på elfte dagen av ett tolvdagarsbesök, som andra har påpekat, några negativa recensioner gjorde mig lite orolig men dessa recensionärer måste ha varit på ett annat hotell.Mirage s personal är välkomna och hjälpsam. På västeuropeiska standarder är dekorationen annorlunda, men det gör inte erfarenheten mindre njutbar. För britterna kan klienten, som i huvudsak är östra Europa, förefalla lite smutsig och nedåt i hålet (det finns inte många leenden utbytts), men detta skulle förefalla en kulturell skillnad som vi britter måste acceptera, det förefaller personligt, Folk här reserverar leenden för människor de känner och i själva verket kan det sätt som vi hälsar alla med god morgon och ett leende till dessa andra kunder komma över som oärliga och något misstänksamma, vi fortsätter bara le och sprida kärleken. Det är som att gå tillbaka 20 år, de flesta människor röker (var som helst) och du får den vanliga ****** som satte en larm för 6:00 för att bagga en sollounge! Hotellet är vackert, ren och väl placerat, det finns ingen underhållning så vara beredd att gå ut på natten för att hitta det.Gån till Old Town låser strandlinjen och är platt i ungefär 15/20 minuter. Om du inte verkligen behöver stanna borta från taxi, kommer de att försöka avgifta dig 25 euro för att komma tillbaka till hotellet som inte kan vara mer än 1.5 K. Jag skulle gärna komma tillbaka och ha njutit av hela semestern. Men om du lätt är upprörd av det vi britter kan uppfatta som en sorglig okunnighet, så gå till Spanien där de kommer att le lyckligt medan de klipper dig av. Det bulgariska folket är vackra och uppriktigt ärliga och hjälpsamma, bara förvänta sig inte många leenden. Och kom ihåg att rökningen, i England är vi lyckliga att vi inte längre behöver lida passiv rökning, inte så här här, rökning är förmodligen rangordnad andra gången bara till fotboll som en nöje och det inkluderar bordet bredvid dig när du äter. Bortsett från att det är en mycket bra affär och kanske var det bara vårt rum med en dålig säng.Hotellet är dåligt undertecknat - den enda indikationen är svårt att lätt se i ett sidofönster.Om du drar en väska, gå längs vägen nedan och lyfta stegen. Vad som visar sig som en väg till frontdörren är en ungefärligt förkrossad spår."

He’s always there to help if you need it and happy to offer advice or recommendations. We were very pleased with the hotel. The location is also convenient. The most popular little restaurants and a grocery shop are nearby. It’s not far to the beach or the Old Town either. The breakfasts at the hotel are homemade and delicious. We’ll definitely be back there again someday :)"

"Very good hotel. Rooms spotless and large. We were in family suites. Great location of a variety of small beaches and only 15 mins by bus no 409 to Varna and only 2 Lev (£1) which I would recommend to go to. Lidl around the corner of hotel which was very convenient for basics. Pool very good clean and quiet. Sunbeds never a problem. 5 min walk to beach, restaurants etc. If you are looking for kids entertainment then it's not that kind of holiday. We have 2 teenage daughters who loved both the hotel and the area. Would definitely recommend both hotel and location 9/10. If I was being highly critical then I would recommend more variety of food at breakfast although the quality was good."

"It won't be easy to find an open door and someone waiting for you at this hotel located in the upper part of town quite far from the seaside, parking on the street in front of the establishment. The person who welcomed us (reservations made on Booking) was the cleaning lady who spoke only Bulgarian and we were able to communicate via a telephone translator, it is in your interest to understand everything about how it works the first time and ask the right questions, because more person after 2 minutes, you will be alone in the establishment with other tourists (Bulgarians and Russians during our stay). Otherwise the room we chose was on the 3rd floor with a small balcony and sea view (far away of course), nice surface and clean overall (you should not look in the corners and on the doors), small refrigerator starting to flee, the lack of maintenance is glaring here, it must have been superb 10 years ago!! you are even encouraged not to eat breakfast because it is supposedly of poor quality (maybe the wife doesn't want to get up early to prepare it?). So it was breakfast outside and in a good atmosphere! Bathroom Bulgarian toilet with shower in a corner and watering the whole! Establishment just good for a visit."
