MPM Hotel Arsena - Ultra All Inclusive

"The hotel was pleasant enough , although our first balcony was tiny, you couldn't fit two people on comfortably. We paid for a balcony and complained, they moved us the next day to a much better view. The room was tired, the curtains did not cover the whole window so lots of light coming in, not the best sleep. The food was ok, as we expected for an all inclusive all be it a bit cold. Service in the restaurant was excellent. We made the mistake of using a nearby ashtray on the beach and faced the wrath of the Beach Service attendant and the hotels masseur (the only one) Both were very aggressive and angry. This meant we did not visit the beach again, it also meant we did not use the hotels spa services, which were not as sold. Very disappointing. It is a big part of our holiday to have regular massages but unfortunately due to the very aggressive masseur we did not once. They lost quite a bit of money because of this. So we went to the pool, nice area but the Lifeguard was of the same ilk as the other two, aggressive and angry, and very rude snatching towels back. Tip,if you are using the pool or beach you need to get a card from reception for the towels or face the angry grunts from the Lifeguard. There are no cushions on any beds so be prepared for a sore bottom and back if you are there all day. Most of the staff were pleasant but be prepared not to be smiled at, a lot. It was such a shame about the men there, it very much tainted our holiday with these three particular men. They were awful and intimidating. I very much doubt we will return. I think this hotel could be great but sadly it is not. Location is great for a nice stroll to the old town."

Sunny Day Club Hotel

"Precis hemma från en vecka på Sunny Day Club. Jag var lite optimistisk efter några av recensionerna, men jag behövde inte ha oroat mig! Vi möttes av en mycket glad receptionist som eskorterade oss direkt in i vårt rum (hon var glad hela veckan). Vi var såklart tvungna att gå till baren för att provsmaka ölen (ca 1 pund per pint) och pratade med andra som bodde där. Vissa har bott där flera gånger och andra sa att de skulle återvända efter detta besök. Poolen är fin och stor, några rutschkanor för barn, separat pool för yngre barn och naturligtvis platser i poolen för de stora barnen. Gott om solstolar, men det var bara andra veckan i juni så det är inte skollov än, kanske lugnare, massor av sittplatser både utomhus och inomhus och en skuggig sittgrupp på vingården, mycket vackert. På morgonen åt vi frukost, vi hittade något att äta varje dag; Kokta, äggröra och stekta ägg (även om damen tar cirka 15 minuter att tillaga dem i visningsköket utanför), bacon av olika slag, rökt korv, bönor, rostat bröd, sylt, flingor, frukt, ostar och skinka, sallad, bara det vanliga men välfyllt och varmt. Koppar, juice och vatten finns, men ibland en kö när någon fyller på sin 2-litersflaska! Rummen städades dagligen inklusive rena handdukar. Jag hade tagit med mig en vattenkokare och 2 muggar och de städades också! Utomhusområdet, inklusive under solstolarna och ute på gatan, sopades och moppades från 07:30, solstolarna torkades av etc., det fanns till och med 8 städare i rad som stod och skrubbade poolens innervägg! Personalen var mycket uppmärksam, alla jobbar väldigt hårt och av alla skäl som nämnts ovan kommer vi definitivt tillbaka! Träffade några trevliga människor och hade bara en fantastisk tid! Så glad att jag bokade och inte lät recensionerna avskräcka mig!"
