"The hotel is located in a private tourist area, very quiet and comfortable. The hotel staff also explained in detail the tourist activities in the area. Unfortunately, it was too cold in the room at night and there was no heating."

"Did 2 week tour of Namibia and this was by far the BEST hotel. I never do reviews on the basis that if its good keep it to yourself so that the place does not become so popular that its full the next time you want to stay .As this was my last of 3 visits to Namibia I will not be returning due to advanced old age and I am happy to make an exception. "Our stay at Otjiwa Mountain Lodge was absolutely incredible. We loved the design of the rooms and common areas (so tastefully decorated), the privacy and views are unbeatable and the comfort level the highest you can find. When we took in the stunning landscapes from our plunge pool we were surrounded by all sorts of colourful birds. The Rhino tracking with William was an incredible experience as he knows each so well and we could approach them on foot. The staff was the kindest and made us feel very much at home and was so attentive. Each meal was a feast (tasty, beautifully presented, colorful), and we appreciate how much attention is put to source most ingredients locally (we were impressed by their own in-house vegetable garden), and the creativity of the chef. So glad we could experience this slice of paradise in Otjiwa and very warmly recommend this special gem."

"We, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, stayed in the Villa of the lodge for 2 nights mid of April with a Hippo swimming in the lake in front of the Villa. Breathtaking view on Mt. Etjo table mountain with flashes from a thunderstorm in the night. Great service and very friendly people everywhere. Tasty food and spectacular game drives with lots of animals around. We can highly recommend."

"Lodge on the ridge of a hill, just beautiful and with absolute tranquility, great sunsets; rooms are clean and have great views as well, luxury rooms are very spacious; the lodge itself is on the rustic side and after dinner you are not encouraged to stay inside, lights are out; but there's a nice fire place on the terrace and the starry night, so you really do not want to be inside; We had a game drive with Johan, which was very, very informative and we even saw some animals we didn't see in Etosha; the encounter with the cheetah was very moving and Johan took a lot of time to explain everything. We wish good luck with finding a mate for Chiara and perhaps Diego as well and hope to come back one time!"

"End to end fantastic experience, by far the best place we've stayed on our honeymoon. I do not understand the negative reviews below, we stayed April 2026 and we're thoroughly impressed. This is a great farmstay. The staff are all wonderful, with Teo and Alois really standing out. Teo's a masterful manager - polite, professional, and prompt. And Alois is a profoundly elegant head waiter. The rooms are STUNNING - watching the sun rise and set over the Waterberg plateau is amazing. Rooms have comfy beds and, while they've installed portable AC units, the ceiling fan is more than sufficient to keep cool. They have mosquito nets on all the windows so bugs weren't an issue. Borehole drinking water in the taps is great, too. Waterberg has the best food we've eaten so far, breakfast lunch and dinner were all stellar! The chef's fantastic. Final shout-out to the three ridgebacks - such friendly dispositions and great to have around."
