Som muslim kan det ibland vara komplicerat att hitta tillåtna livsmedel, men deras idealiska vegetariska frukost tog helt bort den oroen.Det var läckra, enkla och otroligt bekväma.De packade det till och med som en takeaway när jag sprang kort tid! Rummen var spottlösa, luktade underbara, och de allmänna faciliteterna var utmärkta.Det fanns också ett lugnt rum där jag fann det bekvämt att be, vilket tillfogade en speciell, tankfull touch till min vistelse. Priserna är fantastiska jämfört med andra hotell i området, vilket erbjuder ett mycket bättre alternativ med en riktigt unik charm. Tack, Mark och Paula, för att ni gjorde min resa till området så minnesvärd. Låt Gud välsigna er båda i livet!"

"Top notch B&B - stayed there in June 2023 as part of a group cycling the C2C route. I recall that we had 3 twin rooms and 2 singles. All very comfortable and quite spacious. My twin was good and the en-suite shower was particularly appreciated after a hard day's cycling from Workington. Great breakfast in a very elegant front room with high ceilings and a very large bay window. Also the Glendale has a secure bike shed at the back, which took all 8 of our bikes. Good location for food and drink in the centre of Penrith - 5 minutes walk away. I don't normally eat pizza, but I must say that Villa Bianca makes some of the best one's in the area."

"This is a lovely traditional pub with lots of nooks and crannies with a warming log burner. There is also a separate restaurant area. The staff here were all really welcoming and attentive which made for a lovely experience for my mum who doesn't go out often. The food was also very good with a wide range of choices. We enjoyed it so much that we've booked for a larger group next month. Definitely recommend this place. Warm and homely in the winter and then loads of out door seats for the summer months. "

"Friendly staff, breakfast lovely, great shower, just a couple of things we weren’t happy about. Noise from fan outside, no latch on window or door on wardrobe. Beautiful surroundings, fabulous pubs and couple nice shops. Good to have a car park space."

"This guest house is lovely. It is immaculate and the beds are comfortable. The linens are of high quality. We stayed in a family room where our daughters were happy to have their own beds. The breakfast was over-the-top fantastic! This place is a gem of a place to stay in Cumbria!"

"I booked here because the Premier Inn was way over priced. This Guest House is an absolute gem - a real find. Beautiful room, quiet location and a wonderful welcome on arrival by Sue and her two Shiitzu dogs! Made to feel welcome from walking through the door until I left - my room (Grassmere) was beautifully presented. Such a comfy bed and the shower was nice and hot. The room was quiet and just the right temperature too. A bonus was a small fridge with some water which was just the ticket and ideal if you have any small items to keep cool. Breakfast was excellent - I opted for the full English which was just the right amount. There was also an excellent continental selection if that is more your thing in the morning. Overall excellent from start to finish!"

"We stayed at lane head while we were working away, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and the facilities are spot on. The fresh fruit and fresh bread in the morning was a real bonus. I would highly recommend this guest house"
