"Excellent location directly above the train station (not noisy) and a few blocks walk to the lake, shopping, restaurants, bars, the ferry etc. This lodging location is nearly brand new, very modern, with an excellent kitchen area, full refrigerator and other kitchen appliances, an outdoor patio right off the living room that has views of the lake, surrounding mountains, the activity at the train station, etc. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful at the last minute when our intended lodging location fell through. The cost here is also reasonable considering that you're at Lake Como with all of the amenities provided here. [There is not laundry.] I've stayed in Varenna before at Villa Monastero which is beautiful with its gardens and on-the-lake location. Residenze Decimina is a much more modern place, about the same walking distance to most of the places you'll visit in town, but at a much more reasonable cost. No gardens, of course, but still a very good option for a place to stay in the Varenna / Lake Como area. I would absolutely stay here again when I return."

"Innan du bokar, fråga ägarna om bygg- och byggarbetet i motsats har slutförts.Tågstationen uppgraderas, vilket innebär att det är mycket bullrigt från tunga maskiner från ca 07:00 till ganska sent på natten. Vi informerades bara av ägarna, när vi hade bokat och betalat helt, vilket kanske tyckte de borde låta folk veta innan de bokar, lyckligtvis var vi bara där i två nätter. Ljudet från tågen och bilarna på vägen utanför kan tydligt höras, särskilt eftersom balkongdörren inte är stängd."

"Outdated house. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The bathrooms are not close to the bedrooms. One in the stairwell, one next to the living room and one in the basement. No table in the back garden, furniture very old. Balcony furniture like in the pictures is"
