"När jag besökte Plovdiv, när jag anlände till hotellet, gick jag in och gick upp till mitt rum, för det var sent och jag måste vila för jag gör en stor turnering i flera städer i Bulgarien... När jag kom in i mitt rum blev jag chockad av den hemska, förödmjukade och mycket smutsiga situationen för ett 4-stjärnigt hotell.På morgonen gick jag till frukost och jag träffade en helt smutsig restaurang och mattans tillstånd var mycket avskyvärt, fruktansvärt... Jag behöver inte säga mycket för du kan se med dina egna ögon några av de bilder jag lägger här fakta om att detta hotell är i. Hotell satt i tid, dekor från det senaste århundradet, mycket fördröjd, en allvarlig brist på daglig rengöring för ett 4-star hotell, jag rekommenderar inte det till någon, värre än ett 2 eller 3-star hotell.Till slut, jag checkade ut från detta hotell så fort som möjligt. Jag trodde aldrig att jag skulle hitta 4-star hotell i dessa hemska stater."

"I hjärtat av den gamla stan är det bara fem minuters promenad från de flesta av de viktigaste sevärdheterna.Bara två minuters promenad från amfiteatern.Modernt hotell, med stora bekväma sängar och bra badrum. Vårt rum hade en liten balkong som var användbar eftersom det inte finns någon lounge och bara ett litet sittområde utanför ingången där du kan koppla av utanför ditt rum.Rummen är bara ungefär tillräckligt stora. Det finns gratis parkering nära, och hotellet kan ordna tillträde genom hindren till den äldsta delen av staden.Bara en liten basrestaurang för frukost: bruschettakombo rekommenderas mycket. De unga männen på receptionen var utmärkta och kunde inte ha varit mer hjälpsamma."

"This is a large hotel, located somewhat far from the city center, so having a car is advisable (if not essential) to get there. On the other hand, it has free parking right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient for coming and going, although the first time you arrive it's a bit confusing since there's a barrier and nowhere does it indicate that it's the hotel's parking lot. You have to take a ticket and drive through as if it were a public parking lot, and then at reception they validate the ticket each time so you can leave without having to pay. The hotel is in a tall, large building with a "Soviet" style aesthetic, lacking any charm, despite being quite nice. The same was true of the room: very large, functional, it had everything necessary, it was on a high floor with a view... but without any charm! The hotel was half empty, if not almost completely empty, which also seemed strange. The staff were very polite, but lacked initiative. For example, upon arrival we asked about the pool, and they showed us where it was, but when we went down to swim, they told us it was already closed for maintenance at 6 pm... in the middle of August! Even so, the best thing about the hotel, at least in summer, is undoubtedly the pool (which is why we chose it, as it was very hot at midday). There were few people there, and the surroundings were rather unattractive, although the pool itself was huge and very pleasant. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. On the second day, we were the only couple at a table in the dining room, and they served us breakfast à la carte because they hadn't even set up the buffet. I suppose it was because there weren't enough guests. The overall impression was that the hotel was operating at half capacity, or as if it were about to close soon, or perhaps not, but a hotel of this size with so few guests gave a somewhat sad and run-down feel. In short, it's a good place to stay while visiting Plovdiv, if you have a car or other means of transport, but it lacks any real charm."

"Vi har verkligen inget annat än priset för Family Hotel på Renaissance Square.Vårt rum var rent, generöst proportionerligt och redan var luftkonditionerat när vi anlände. Platsen är tyst och perfekt för den gamla stan och platser utanför och parkering är möjligt genom arrangemang med ägaren, men jag misstänker, kan vara i kort leverans vid upptagna tider. Det fanns två versioner av frukost på erbjudandet, men vi njöt av den med pannkakor så mycket att vi avslog omeletten. När vi anlände gav ägaren oss en detaljerad promenad genom platserna på en karta som vi verkligen uppskattade eftersom han trots att han var beväpnad med en full resa framhöll några platser som vi kanske hade hoppat över. Hela tiden var han hjälpsam och värd och tillade vår vistelse enormt!"

"Vi hade bara några timmar att utforska stadscentret så vi valde att stanna i Bright House, vilket var det bästa beslutet. Platsen kunde inte vara bättre - i Kapana distriktet med många restauranger, några minuter från den gamla staden, moskén, fotgängare gatan och mindre än 10 minuter från den romerska teatern. Vår lägenhet var modern och hade alla faciliteter vi kunde ha behövt och Dimitar var hjälpsam med varje fråga vi hade."

"I have NO idea how this place manages a score of 4.2 on Google reviews and 3.5 on Tripadvisor. This has all the appearance of an old Soviet style place. And all the warmth and welcome that goes with that. Breakfast was the crowning glory in an overall poor experience. Overseen by a gentleman who made no effort to assist guests, all instructions / information in Bulgarian only (except the numerous rules!), hot food all stone cold. Rooms very basic with ‘make yourself’ bedding. Doona (Duvet) covered in hair. It is, however, quite close to the city centre."

"We had a comfortable room with lots of hot water in the shower within walking distance from the station and the center. There were many shared facilities like a kitchen area with coffee/tea (paid), seating area and smoking area. We didn't find the listed washing machine and there was no fridge in the room. There was no reception, and communication re early check in and/or bag drop was difficult. The toilet area was always wet because of there was no separate shower area or shower curtain."
