"My friend and I checked in around 11 p.m. that night. I asked the receptionist if the room occupancy rate was high that night. She said it wasn't. So I asked if she could upgrade my room type. I had booked an executive king room. She said that the executive king room was already the highest level and there were no upgrades available. So I asked if it would be possible to upgrade to an executive twin room. She said it was okay, and we checked in. On the day of the check-in, several friends accompanied me to play cards. The receptionist reminded us to keep our voices down, and we agreed. I also reminded my friends. Later, when we got to our room (room 708), we continued playing cards, perhaps a little too loudly. The neighbors next door kept calling the front desk to complain. We were polite during the first few calls, but on the third call, the receptionist, Lanshan, was very rude and said she wanted to kick my friends out of the hotel. I got angry and asked for a full refund. She said no, and then immediately offered to change my room. I agreed, and we were moved to the next room (710). As soon as we changed rooms, we realized something was wrong. Initially, room 708 was downgraded to a square room. On Ctrip, room 708 is a superior twin room, but I originally booked an executive king room. Not only did she not upgrade me, she downgraded it. If the neighbors hadn't complained about our noise and we hadn't had to change rooms, we wouldn't have known that this receptionist, Lanshan, had downgraded our room without our consent. The next day, the front desk staff apologized and begged me not to complain. I thought it best to forgive and forget that we were in the wrong for arguing first, and that we should be forgiving. However, on the third day at 3 PM, my friend was waiting for me in the hotel lobby when another receptionist told her to keep her voice down. My friend wasn't even that loud while using her phone. I understand if she complained about us later that night, but complaining about the noise in the lobby at 3 PM, especially when there was no one else around, makes me wonder if guests at Atour are now forbidden from speaking? Also, the sink drains were very slow and prone to clogging. The receptionist, especially Lanshan, had a terrible attitude. I used to have a good impression of Atour, but after staying here, my opinion has changed. Anyone who reads my review should avoid staying here if possible, otherwise, you'll be the one suffering.
