"The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were generally very good, although the kitchen, for example, lacked a frying pan and only had one pot, two plates, two cups, and cutlery. A frying pan, more plates and cups, and separate bins for plastic, organic waste, and paper would have been desirable. Aside from that, however, we enjoyed our stay very much and had a pleasant experience. The hotel's location is also relatively central, near the harbor and the train station. There are good bus connections from the train station."

Hotel Hafenresidenz Stralsund ★★★★

"This hotel seems pricey for what it offers. Good location, right on the water and a short walk to the historic city center. I had booked a room facing the seaside, which was more expensive. And, yes, it was facing the seaside, but the room was on the ground floor, right off the front desk and hotel bar, and the view of the water was limited. The room was very small, really not enough space for two people and their luggage. Front desk staff often did not even look up when guests walked by which seemed strange to me. Breakfast is definitely not worth the price; staff was super rushed and selection is limited. The bartender in that “Rockeria” place was the friendliest staff member I encountered. I’d recommend to book a vacation rental in the old city versus booking this hotel (The “Altes Konsulat” vacation rentals look nice and the building looks great from the outside - but I haven’t been inside). Parking is relatively easy at the parking garage in between Hafenresidenz and the Old Town. They offer 3-day parking for 24 euros with in-and-out privileges which seemed reasonable. Just need to speak to the nice clerk at the parking garage and he can set it up."

"Hotellet har bokats för 2 nätter. Det är mycket nytt och modernt och praktiskt inredda. Rummen har tillräcklig storlek. Hotellet har 4 våningar. I våningen 4 ligger frukostrummet, takterrass och några rum. Frukost kan bokas för 13,90 euro per person. Det finns 2 bilstolar, men också en trappa för att komma till ditt rum. Utrymmet är fortfarande under uppförande. En parkeringsplats finns, men kostar 10 euro per natt. Jag har inte haft någon extra avgift på parkeringen på ett hotell än. Klara tum ner för det. Annars är pris-prestanda-förhållandet bra."

"Det interstatale hotellet som tidigare bokade var väldigt bra. Det hade höga förväntningar på det här boendet, men det var en halvtimme.Hotellet var mycket nära tågstationen, det var mycket bekvämt att transportera, det fanns kylskåp och brännbara duschar i rummet och faciliteterna var perfekta. Tjänst: Lägenheten är inte bra.Den andra dagen upptäckte han att rummet inte var städat, och att det inte fanns vatten.Han frågade tjänstemannen på receptionen, han sa att han skulle göra en förhandsbokning, och att han inte skulle göra det om det inte hade gjorts.Och han tog inte några papper med handpapper. Den andra dagen är den tom.Det är inte tillräckligt."

"Travelling back to Rostock after several nights on Ruegen island, we decided to take a look at Stralsund. With a car it seemed best to keep away from the limited and pricy parking near the centre, so we booked at the Hanseat, about 15-20 minutes from the main sights by foot. It was a good choice, a comfortable room with all mod cons including a big bed and a big screen! Check in and check out were handled efficiently. Luckily we took the ferry from Rostock just before the crossings were cancelled due to the severe October storm, which also resulted in some flooding in Stralsund. Once again the impact of global warming becomes evident. "

"The hotel is wonderful, located slightly outside the city center but reachable in about a 15-minute walk. The staff are discreet, kind, and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The garden outside is fantastic. There are parking spaces available inside the property, but you can also easily park in front of the hotel where there is plenty of free space. Highly recommended."
