"A lovely quirky Inn, in a small sleepy village for our Anniversary. The pub itself is my cup of tea, eclectic decor, oldy worldy, a proper pub. The room was lovely. Clean, spacious and a very comfy bed. Original old windows, lovely 4 poster bed. The evening meal was not as good as the menu suggested sadly. The starter was delicious, baked camembert with toasts, but the main meal fell a bit flat. Not their fault at all, my pallet, but I didn't enjoy the wine. £36 for the bottle, which i gifted to the table next to us. But overall a lovely stay, with exceptional friendly owners, knowledgeable of the local areas for things to do. We went to Dunster castle upon our checkout and it was a lovely few hours."

"Special thanks to Manager Emilia and the team at Holiday Express for making our stay wonderful. The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the price was very reasonable. It’s a great place for families – our kids loved the swimming pool – and the bar was a nice extra for relaxing in the evening. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely return!"

"We spent two nights in the spacious family room of this huge Victorian hall which some will consider old fashioned but we loved its slightly quirky old country house style. The owner, Caro, an author, painter and gardener, greeted us with a pot of tea and biscuits and was extremely attentive to all our needs including cooking us a full English breakfast with cereals and fruit. The views from the bedrooms are wonderful and the garden is very large and lovely to walk all around. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in the area."

"The old Dairy is a truly peaceful and relaxing place to stay.We stayed in Room 1 for three nights.It is a lovely room and we slept well on the comfy bed.Liz was so helpful and kind.She brought our tasty breakfast to our room as I have mobility issues and it is a bit of a struggle for me to get moving in the a.m.The views from the gardens are stunning.We highly recommend this wonderful place."

"We have regularly stayed at The Greyhound over the last 18 months whilst dealing with family business. It has been a real haven for us. The accommodation has always been very good. Clean and comfortable. The food, both in the evening and the breakfast, has been consistently good. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. In particular Karen in the morning has always been extremely helpful and supportive. Nothing has been too much trouble for her. We have no hesitation in recommending The Greyhound."

"I booked a deluxe double room for just one night. We were very happy with our room, which was spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The welcome from Reception was warm and friendly. There is parking at the hotel but this is run by NCP and costs just under £10 for a 24 hour stay. Payment is via an APP so I suggest installing that on your phone before you arrive. There is not the option to pay by cash or card at the machine. The hotel itself is very charming, with individually decorated bedrooms and a host of period features and furniture in the public rooms. We were meeting my son for dinner in a nearby restaurant for dinner so cannot comment on the Dining Room and we opted out of breakfast as we had an early lunch arranged. We did enjoy some cocktails in Brazz, where the service and quality of the drinks were appreciated."

"Lovely welcome with the great Christmas Decorations and gifts available for kids, a wonderful welcome. Our room was spacious, clean and warm just what we wanted on that chilli night. Thank you to the receptionist who made us very welcome when we arrived. The breakfast was fantastic, amazingly hot and nice to see the buffet loaded up even though only a few people eating, some premier inn we stay at take our orders but it's not the same has being able to help yourself. Great Team effort we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The main building could do with a paint job from the outside, and watch out - they have a temporary speed bump on the entrance that caught us out and it's like Mount Everest. Thank you again we had a great stay"

We were chasing clock and missed last orders but they were happy to take order over phone. Equally we had to leave before official stat of breakfast but happy to have bacon sandwiches ready to go ( no takeaway cups so take your own!)"
