"We went as a family in June 2024 and stayed for 4 days. It's not a 4 star hotel at all. It's a tiny boutique hotel that is 2 star in the best case. Everything is old and falling apart. The rooms don't even have a kettle, the beach doesn't have any toilets, 1 single pipe of a shower, full of bees. The hotel and the area is full of bees that don't let you eat your food. They were a nightmare and I ended up getting stung at dinner. When I tried to take my lunch to the only dining room of the hotel to get away from the bees the hotel manager tried to KICK US OUT, and said we had to eat outside surrounded by bees and he didn't care about our kids crying and being scared. Ioannes was so rude and absolutely the worst hotel manager in the world. The whole staff is 20+ so the hotel is run by very unexperienced kids. The hotel is not kid friendly. All the baby high-chairs were old, broken and dirt from never being cleaned by staff. Hotel entrance has a ramp that is 80 degrees and it took 2 parents to roll the stroller up and down, very dangerous setup. Not recommended, overpriced and horrible value."

"Jag stannade nyligen på Kamelia & Semeli Hotel och hade en riktigt underbar upplevelse.Renheten i rummen var oförmögen, med daglig hushållning som garanterade att allt var ospottligt och väl underhållet. Personalen var otroligt vänlig och alltid redo att hjälpa med alla behov eller frågor jag hade, vilket gjorde min vistelse ännu bekvämare. Dessutom matchade allt beskrivningarna på hotellets webbplats, som jag fann vara mycket korrekt och tillförlitlig.Jag rekommenderar detta hotell starkt till alla som letar efter en trevlig och obehaglig vistelse."

"One of the best places we had been ever. Starting from the most welcoming staff, the room decorations, the comfrotable beds, every where u look it is spotless clean. Seems they had thought of all the details. It was great place to be with the kids. The swwing pools and the sournding relaxing area and the location close to the beach and resturants. And the breakfast! Wow. New surprise every morning, fresh and tasty. I started with the staff because that makes the diffrance, starting from the mangment (lovely Maria), the chef and barista, at recepatation and the cleaning lady all with a smile and a nice small talk and great recommendation what to do around. Can not wait to come again!"

"Ett skönt tyst hotell, vackert läge på stranden.En kort promenad (10 minuter) antingen från hotellet tar dig till Tavernas och restauranger som serverar utmärkt färsk mat.Hotell mycket lugnt, ren och vackert inredda rum. Fantastisk buffé frukost och det lokala brödet var fantastiskt, liksom all personal, Joanna var en mycket lycklig själ alltid leende och hjälpsam.Lämnade en tips i en eklig groddslåda vid bordet och hoppades att den hittades och inte bara en prydnad? Jag rekommenderar hotellet mycket och vill gärna gå tillbaka dit. Vårt enda problem var att komma in i det mycket höga sidobadet som är duschen också eftersom vi är i vår s a 70:e s s a s a inte var lätt och kunde ha orsakat oss att falla för att försöka komma ut.När det gäller Christine & Colin (jun 17-24th)."

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic. We would return without any hesitation- everything about it is first class. We loved: 1. The location- right next to Potos and easy driving distance to the best sights 2. The pool- lovely temperature with two smaller pools ideal for our son to play in, plus the slide was a bonus for him. 3. The chilled out nature- no mad rush for sunbeds! 4. The food- the quality was fabulous. Not a huge choice but what you got was delicious and fresh. Also we loved that on a few nights you had a choice from the a la carte menu and a separate menu was available for kids 5. The drinks- all very high quality- wine and cocktails were better than any all inclusive we have visited in the past; 6. The choice of have three dining out options which were included and also the 30 minute massage at the spa; 7. The staff- honestly the nicest and attentive we have met; 8. The rooms- stunning views! We will return- thank you so much for the best holiday!"

Hotellet är inte för stort och inte för litet (cirka 70 rum), rymligt (både lokaler och rum), definitivt ganska typ. Under högsäsong är det upptaget men fortfarande inte överfullt. Effektiv luftkonditionering och wi-fi. Rymlig och mycket ren, inklusive stranden, tack vare många hushållspersonal. Bäst lämpad för beundrare av en fridfull tid vid havet, men en gratis hotelltransfer till en mer livlig by Potos i närheten finns också tillgänglig. En enastående service: restaurang &/barer, animation, skrivbord,...- allt mycket hjälpsamt. Särskilda hälsningar till chefen Mr. Elias Sachinidis, mycket professionell, alltid på sin post, snäll och leende. Vi besökte hela ön Thassos och många hotell där och vi kan rekommendera detta hotell som det bästa på ön. En utmärkt semesterupplevelse."

"We booked a package with TUI and stayed in a Deluxe room. The journey from Kavala airport was was well organised, they provide a coach to take you to the ferry port, around 20 minutes, then a large car ferry for the coach to Limenas, plenty of chilling space, bar on board etc, around 40 minutes then back on the coach from Limenas ferry port to the hotel, around 20 minutes. So around 1.5 hours transfer time. The hotel is very modern, spotlessly clean and a choice of stairs or lifts. We chose a Deluxe room, this was large, very well appointed with a big very comfortable bed, large balcony, a very modern bathroom with a large walk in shower. The shower could be either rainfall or handset for hair washing, everything is provided, plenty of towels, shampoo etc. Our friends chose a standard room, this was nice but was older and had an over bath shower and noticeably hardly any storage for clothes. Both types of rooms had a kettle, fridge etc. Our holiday was half board but after 2 nights we decided to eat out every night as in our opinion the food was not really anything to look forward to, to say the least. Some of the dining room staff were very strict and would not let you take fruit from the dining room which was totally OTT. The breakfast menu was better as long as you didn’t go on the last minute as they didn’t replace food once it had finished late on. A special mention to the Omelette man, he was so funny and cheerful and made great omelettes! On the whole most of the staff were super friendly and helpful especially on reception. Views from the hotel are wonderful and the pools and loungers are very inviting, the main criticism here is that there is no separate adults pool despite having a Hugh swim up pool for some suites that we hardly saw being used, what a waste… There are bars available at the hotel but we preferred to walk out to the two tavernas, Marstrale, (good menu) ,5 minutes to the right of the hotel beach and Plavoulis, (chips, burgers etc) just past Hive water park. The only real walk you can do is to Limenas which is about 45 minutes, some of it on roads though. Taxis can be arranged from reception €8-10. Our overall opinion on the hotel is if you are a sun worshipper or you have young kids this hotel is probably great for you, but if you like a stroll out then it may not be."

"After spending 10 days at Vathy Cove, I’d like to share my honest opinion: The hotel is a boutique-style property located in a stunning, secluded cove with crystal-clear water. The sea-view rooms are beautiful and generally clean, although the daily housekeeping was quite superficial. The road to the hotel is rough – about 40 minutes on a poorly maintained track. We knew this when booking, so it wasn’t a surprise or major issue. However, the biggest letdown was the food. Breakfast was very poor: old pastries (not even heated, and no oven on-site to do so), no hot milk unless specifically requested – and even then, it’s heated using the coffee machine’s milk frother or in the microwave, often arriving after 30–40 minutes. Omelets took over 30 minutes to prepare. Lunch and dinner options were extremely limited and overpriced considering the poor quality. Meat was often tough and full of gristle, bread was stale, and we were once served a salad missing its cheese – the staff simply said they’d run out. Even worse, I once found a hair in my salad. The soups were disappointing too – more like warm liquid cream than actual vegetable soup. Fresh fish required pre-ordering a day in advance and cost €120/kg, which is steep for a seaside location – especially considering the fish was not well cooked. There were no real side dishes available. Everything seemed to be fried: a bitter-tasting pita likely made in the same pan as the meat, frozen nuggets, and fries. One day we ordered a fruit platter and received something fresh and nicely arranged. The next day, it looked like scraps from the kitchen – yet we were still charged €22 for it. When we asked why, they simply said they ran out of fresh fruit. We were traveling with a child, and the owner promised to add basic child-friendly options like rice or mashed potatoes to the menu – but nothing changed during our entire stay. Ordering even simple dishes like salads or risottos could take up to two hours, and they often brought the wrong food. Overall, the food was overpriced and very low quality. Only 2–3 waiters seemed properly trained – the rest were inattentive and disorganized. Sadly, I don’t recommend Vathy Cove. While the location is gorgeous, the poor food and service overshadow the beauty of the place. There are plenty of better hotels in Greece where you can enjoy both the view and the experience."

"We arrived at the hotel on 10th May for a 2 weeks stay along with my elderly parents who had stayed here the year before and had a great time. The setting was ideal for anyone with limited mobility like my mom and set in such pretty grounds with roses and geranium’s which had an abundance of flowers on them. Palm trees and pine trees also surrounded us. The room and bathroom was clean and towels changed everyday and beds I think were changed most days. We had to request a kettle in the room and buy a couple of mugs from the shop down the road which was very well stocked with all essentials, including milk and coffee. I took a few t bags from breakfast and if I asked for some in the evening I was always given them. The restaurant staff were all pleasant and helpful. Some staff still appeared to be gaining experience as it was the start of the season, The food choices were really good both at breakfast and evening meal. Drink prices are very similar to the uk. You can book and pay for 6 large bottles of water at the hotel reception for €3.50 and they will be left in your room for you. The beds around the pool could do with a mattress on them as they were quite uncomfortable. The pool area on the whole appeared clean but the area around where the wall is could have been better. I pointed out some mud to the Tui Rep around where we sat but it was still there days later. The chairs that surround the glass that looks out to sea are really comfortable and the views are gorgeous. We only had entertainment in the Friday and Saturday the first week and Friday the next. There is a lovely short walk into the little town of Potos and my husband found it easy enough to find nice walks along the coast. Reception staff were all friendly and always welcomed us or said Goodnight as we walked through. Nicky who is the hotel guest rep was very kind and caring when I had an accident at the marina , checking in with me each day after. Tui Rep Leigh was helpful too. This really is a lovely hotel. The aromas around the hotel come from the mint and rosemary grown there and used as ingredients lots of other areas where ingredients are grown too."

"Vi stannade vid hotellet i slutet av augusti, personalen var söt och hjälpsam den killen som förvaltar restaurangen stoppar aldrig han förtjänar en medalj. Hotellet är ungefär 1 år gammalt alla mycket moderna, rummen är mycket trevligt gjort det finns en fantastisk vägg på taket och bakom sängen (inte passerat dammprov) sängen var ganska bekvämt men pilarna var som att sova på en bräda, Rummen är små men det räcker att de inte har några drag i rummet så ingen plats att hålla underkläder/ badkläder de har en kyl- och kaffemaskine, kaffet var inte alltid fullt vi var bara tvungna att fortsätta att fråga om mer.Alla rum ställs inför havet vi hade En vacker utsikt och lyssna på havet på kvällen är den bästa ljudet balkongen var vacker att sitta på och ganska stor det är den bästa havsutsikt jag någonsin haft. Frukost på hotellet var besviken för mig eftersom de inte hade några nötter/frön eller croissanter, brödet var trevligt och färskt, de har 3 spannmål att välja från majsflingor/ chock spannmål och havre om du ville bacon u bara behövde fråga och de gjorde Det är färskt för dig, bönorna var kall osäkra om de var avsedda att vara kall eller om de inte gjorde kaffe/te/färsk orange för att beställa, det är tillräckligt för att välja från och hålla dig till lunch. Solbäddar är fria att använda på stranden mycket bekväma och tjocka men du blev ombedd att inte ta med din egen mat eller dryck på stranden, kände ledsen för den unge flickan som väntade på dryck/ mat order på stranden som uniform var långa byxor hon var uppenbarligen För varmt och hon var så söt.Det finns en 10-minuters promenad till staden med restauranger att välja mellan.Under dagen om du har mat, särskilt kött, svärmarna bara runt dig inga svärm på kvällen. Om du vill gå till Thassos är detta ett trevligt hotell i perfekt läge."
