"Quiet close-enough garden location. We chose not to stay in the hustle bustle near Porta and that was a good decision. This hotel had lots of charm in the public areas. I will preface that we got the cheapest room - but the carpet needs replacing and there was no place to put luggage. Free nice sauna! The breakfast was phenomenal and we enjoyed exploring the park out the back gate. It’s an easy 1 mile walk to old town. I would stay here again. Staff were friendly and very helpful."

"we stayed above the sun terrace looking down at the bier garten. It is a nice treed setting by a creek and below vineyards. a bus stop outside takes you right to the Roman gate in old town Trier. bus 81 or bus 6 on weekdays. the reception helpful with bus info, but note return not to the same stop but dismount at oliweg entrance and follow short path to back of hotel. otherwise u r in for a long ride. For return take stop 5 near the gate and info centre. This resort has everything with a pleasant bier garten, great breakfasts, sports lounge and cozy nooks if eating inside and the garten has a retractable roof. Had the pool to myself and the streamside path is pleasant and crossing over the road you can access vineyard walkways with great views. I wasn't in love with my bed, but my spouse had no problem...that's my only complaint. There is a big staff and they are personable, pleasant and helpful. Definitely hard-working. I traded in a day's cleaning for a brew from their haus and i liked the dunkel the best. there are cushions and comforters everywhere, everything is thought of and looked after, there are even e-bike chargers in the parking lot."

"Imagine the following situation: We arrive at 5:45 p.m. in an empty restaurant with only half the tables set and ask if we can eat there from the Schlemmerblock. After a quarter of an hour of discussion about the obligation and the pros and cons of making a telephone reservation, we learn that we could have called until 6 p.m. But since it is 6:03 p.m., that is no longer possible. I have never experienced such adherence to principles. Furthermore, it is assumed that many other restaurants participating in the Schlemmerblock offer smaller portions or inferior food. If you don't feel like it or it isn't worth it to participate in the Schlemmerblock, you simply shouldn't do it. But with campaigns like this, you shouldn't be surprised if the restaurant eventually becomes completely empty. Note: This rating refers only to the service in the restaurant and not to the hotel. For the reasons stated, we were also unable to test the quality of the food."

Breakfast perfectly adequate - if you want more choice then spend 50% extra at the nearby Mercure."

"Vi kom klockan elva på kvällen, en liten bror väntade på oss.Det var bra och bra.Rummet var perfekt.Men det var en tysk mormors reception.Storm, vi gick till middag och sa att vi inte hade bokat barn i restaurangen. "Very good. Located a little outside of the center, but with its own brewery and its own good (and very popular) restaurant. I managed to somehow get an extraordinary deal which included a 3-course-dinner with matching beers so I was very happy. Very good breakfast. Room is slightly old fashioned, but clean and fully functional. The only thing missing is perhaps A/C. The green option is a nice touch. Free beer instead of daily cleaning. Good for everyone. :) I would happily stay here again should I visit Trier again."
