"This is clearly a long-established resort hotel in Mt. Tsukuba, situated halfway up the mountain with unobstructed south-facing views that extend all the way to Tokyo Skytree. The onsen (hot spring) is located on the rooftop, perfect for soaking while watching the sunset or sunrise. Dinner and breakfast are typical Japanese kaiseki meals, exquisite and delicious. Although the hotel facilities are old, the rooms are being gradually renovated and are clean, tidy, and well-organized. Behind the hotel are Mt. Tsukuba Shrine and the cable car leading up the mountain."
