"We stayed at Baga Otel for 7 nights in September, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is situated in a small cove outside of Akyaka, it’s right on the waterfront, and has a small beach, a pool, and several decked areas. There were plenty of sun beds, and the swimming was gorgeous, as the cove is a mix of warm sea water and cooler fresh water from the nearby river. The hotel building itself is set back a little from the waterfront, but we could still hear the waves lapping from our room, if we left the window open. Our room, whilst on the small side, was immaculately clean, as were all the public spaces. The bathroom was nice, with a powerful shower, and decent towels. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and pillows were of reasonable quality. The wifi was strong in our room, and also throughout the hotel. We got the impression that the hotel was mainly used to hosting Turkish guests, so the staff didn’t really speak much English, and at first they were a little reticent when dealing with us. But once they got used to us, and we tried out the few words of Turkish we knew, they were reasonably friendly. We were there on a bed & breakfast deal, and the Turkish Breakfasts we were served were just fabulous. Whole trays full of jams, eggs, cheeses, fruit, bread, borek, and cakes, along with coffee and Çay. We ate at the hotel restaurant most lunch-times, and had dinner there one night. The food was good, and it was reasonably priced. Most nights, we’d get the reception to call us a cab to take us into the town, a five minute ride, with a fixed price of 100tl (about £1.50) and eat at one of the many restaurants there. We really enjoyed our stay at Baga Otel, and our visit to the lovely Turkish holiday town of Akyaka. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, although if it’s important to you that the staff and locals speak perfect English, then this might not be the resort for you."

"We booked this hotel weeks before we arrived. Hours before our booking, the receptionist decided to cancel our booking while we’re on our way to hotel. We had to find another hotel last minute. It was a terrible experience. Reception has a check in hour that ends at 01:00 a.m. They clearly don’t know how to run a hotel properly."

"Vi ville ha två rum med nära och utsikt, men när vi gick, var det ett städningsproblem på gymmet, ett på källaren, sex på ingången, och två dåliga rum, och vi tvingades betala, trots alla våra invändningar. Jag rekommenderar inte att någon ska göra det, men det är mycket amatör."

För en dag sen ringde vi och bad om plats för kapora och de sa att ingen kunde komma ut på hotellet utan att ringa oss. Han visade oss ett rum i en annan skit och det är mycket mer än det vi enades om. De begärde priset, och vår semester förstördes, och företagarna hade en hållning som var så normal, och när de inte betalade dem för det rummet de visade, förstörde de oss, och det gjorde vi på vår dag. Vi har letat efter plats under värmen i timmar. Du kommer att bli förödmjukad av dina pengar. Santo Akyaka är en sorg!"

"Hotellet är bra, hotellets nya saker är nya, rum är reniga varje dag. Ingen parkeringsproblem. Det finns restauranger för middag, kaféer och butiker finns också. Tack, vi kan inte tänka på det igen."

"We stayed in a comfort room. That being said the name implies comfort however room was smaller than expected. There was the smell of foot odour coming from the shaggy rug and the lounge had the smell of body odour, to which laying a sheet helped a little. The minbar in the room didnt cool down much. We were told we would receive two bottles of water and two soda water -we only received the waters. We asked for extra coffee satches they were not left although when we asked for a pod coffee maker that was provided with the pods but no milk. The restaurant staff were GREAT, especially Emre! The reviews said fantastic Turkish breakfast it was pretty average mostly extras to charge for. Parking is problematic. All in all an ok stay. The only reason for 4 stars was the staff."
