"Ideally located for visiting the historic center of Uzès, with a breathtaking view of the cathedral. Excellent soundproofing against traffic noise. A former 15th-century private mansion, beautifully restored and serving as a magnificent setting for the exhibition of works by Jean Arène. The welcome and staff were perfect. The bedding was remarkably comfortable. Breakfasts were very good. The only drawback: the tiny bathroom was poorly insulated from the bedroom on the other side of the mirror..."

"Had I written this review last night while staying at the hotel it would have been two stars. The wifi wasn’t working, the water for the shower was tepid, the pre dinner Kir was simply crème de cassis and the waiter in the one star Michelin restaurant had never heard of Grand Marnier. I know these things happen but when you’re paying a lot of money for a five star hotel you can become quite diva like (at least I can). We cancelled our second night assuming we’d have to take the hit on being charged for it. However. This morning after hot showers and a walk around the beautiful town of Uzes and it’s Saturday market, I was astonished and frankly very pleased that the hotel had taken in our complaints. They didn’t charge us for the second night and gave us a discount on the first night due to the various issues. I didn’t ask for these things and was genuinely extremely impressed that they were so proactive. So much so, we will definitely return. I’d also like to make mention of the valet (Yasin?) who came to find us when we got lost driving to the hotel and was extremely helpful throughout."

"Hostellerie Provençal ligger i centrum av Uze, precis bredvid den charmiga gamla stadscentret.Parkering är enkel i Uzes och det finns två stora, öppna parkeringar ca 10 minuters promenad från hotellet. De är Parking des Cordeliers (rekommenderad av hotellet) och Parking de La Gare, som är bara runt hörnet från den första. Hotellet är en vacker byggnad och även om vi anlände tidigt, var den charmiga gentleman på receptionen, som jag ska vara ägaren, glad att låta oss checka in. Vårt rum på tredje våningen (det finns en hiss) var rymligt, bekvämt och vackert dekorerat och möblerat.En-suiten var också mycket smart och, viktigast av allt, rummet hade mycket bra luftkonditionering. Även om det var trevligt att ha frukost serverat vid bordet i motsats till den ubiquita buffet, skulle jag klassificera det som bra utan att vara exceptionell. I hotell före och efter denna, inkluderade liknande prissatta frukoster färsk fruktsalat, ett val av ost istället för bara ett stycke, och ett urval av kallt kött eller jordnötter, som du inte får hit.Jag tror att de kan göra lite bättre. Detta är ett vackert hotell i en idealisk plats som drivs av charmiga människor.Det skulle säkert vara vårt valhotell när nästa besök i Uze, men vi skulle förmodligen gå bort från frukost."

"Great "inn", beautifully restored old silk worm factory from 1800's. The female manager is terrific. She speaks English and has thought of everything to make us comfortable. Her breakfast is full of homemade and local items, and the birds are happily singing on the large grounds. Swimming pool, too!"
