"My wife and I spent the month of September 2023 in the Dordogne Valley, with a week at Manoir de la Malartrie, a true jem of a property, in a fantastic location, owned and operated by a wonderful couple whose gracious hospitality was, bar none! Malartrie is a 5 minute stroll to the exceptionally unique village of La Roque Gageac, right on the Dordogne River. Wafa, our host, presents an exceptional spread for breakfast, an experience not to be missed. Within a 10 minute drive are the following attractions: the historic village of Domme, Chateau and the town of Castlenaud, Chateau and the town of Baynac, Chateau Milandes,and the Jardins de Marqueyssac, none of which are to be missed if you can spare the time. Sarlat is 20 minutes away. But back to La Manoir. With beautifully appointed and maintained rooms, grounds and a pool, you will without question come to realize a gem within the Dordogne region.
