"It was within walking distance from the station! It felt more like an apartment than a hotel. There was no front desk and check-in was done using a machine at the entrance. You get a reservation number by email in advance, enter it and pay the accommodation tax to enter, but it's a little difficult because they don't speak Japanese. There is a kitchen in the room and all the necessary dishes, pots, and microwaves, so you can eat in your room! The nearby supermarket closes around 8pm, so you might want to be careful! I was grateful that there was a vending machine in the hotel. The room was clean and there was a balcony and an ashtray so you could smoke outside. However, check-out was by 11am, but I was surprised when someone opened the door and came in at around 10:30am. They apologized and closed the door immediately, but I wonder if it was a cleaning staff member? It wasn't scary because we were a couple, but I think it would have been scary if I had been alone or if I was a woman."

Den enda sorgen var att stå upp och lyfta, att se landskapet och att det var en buller.Men det är inte ett hotellproblem, det sägs vara en grundskola. Det finns en chans att bo igen."

"Had a blissful 2.5 days at the Cervo. Stayed in the Nomad lodge because it is closer to the spa. The room was fantastic, really loved it, stylishly furnished. Very comfortable bed. Great stuff included such as a lightweight mammut rucksack that could be borrowed and/or purchased in the shop. We ate at the italian restaurant one night on the terrace - food was delicious and a good selection, although I do think more choice for vegetarians would enhance the offer. We ate in bar the other night - Middle Eastern/asian delicacies - again fantastic. Breakfast was amazing with a super choice of cooked/prepared options plus a large buffet. Finally, the spa is incredible and where we spent every afternoon and some of the morning we left. Worth going to the hotel just for the spa, we had a 90 minute deep tissue massage by Malanka and Javi who were both amazing. Felt completely blissed out by the massage - probably the best I've ever had. Finally, all the staff are lovely, whether the servers, the spa people, and front desk. I would personally flag the Czech front desk guy whose name I can't remember who was really lovely when we arrived at 9.30pm and checked us out. Also, the guy from Barcelona who drove us to the station when we left - both kind, attentive and engaging. I can't recommend the Cervo enough and I would definitely return the next time I'm in Zermatt."

"The first impression was poor customer service, there were no front desk staff nor anyone to receive or direct customers on arrival, only a small notice to inform customers to check-in in another hotel. The room facilities and furnishings were rather old, the beds were more like extra bed’s bed frame and mattresses were barely 4 inches thick, can’t provide the support needed. As Zermatt is an international tourist destination, there is no English channels on the TV programmes. Breakfast provided was very simple, mainly bread, some bakery n cereals. Would not recommend anyone to stay. Only plus point is location nearby train station n town centre."

"The entire house is very comfortable for a family trip and has good views of Zermatt. A supermarket and the train station are just a 5-minute walk across the river. It was clean, but the washing machine and dryer are not included; you have to carry your laundry in and out of a separate building for an additional fee. We were informed that we had to leave the house at 9:30 am, but according to our reservation, checkout was at 12:00 pm."
