"I travel to Zug, Switzerland a lot and had to book a Vision apartment because all hotels were booked up due to an event and I was booking short notice. It was expensive. I had googled in advance to see if it had aircon, given i arrived during a heatwave and had booked the cheapest room and google seemed to suggest it did (but to be fair I accept that is not the fault of Vision apartment and I should have called them direct in advance). The room (a 'mini') was so small it felt more like a sweltering capsule, and I arrived late in the evening. Other occupants were shouting and singing loudly when I arrived and I immediately wanted to leave. There were barely any plug sockets to charge a phone or laptop and it was too hot to work. I sat there until I could find a late night no show in a nearby hotel then left and will not go back."

City Garden Hotel

"Minimum amenities, older hotel with limited services. They don’t have guest services or ice machines. If you need ice, must come downstairs to reception since there’s only one staff member during evening hours (9pm) so no room delivery. Heating unit doesn’t work despite thermostat adjustments. There are no artwork or paintings in rooms so it looks like you are living in a college dormitory. While the staff is nice, quiet neighborhood, and room is clean, I would opt for their sister Park Hotel next door, for future visits. It’s also 15min walk from Zug center."

"Historic building in the perfect spot near lake, restaurants and old town. Rooms are simple but clean. There is air conditioning. Free breakfast is good. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. Seems like a lot of people stay with them on business. But we did see a few other families. We would stay there again. "
