"Location is excellent, Taipei main station exit M2, distance only 1minute. Elevator also available in between M2 and M4. No worries if you got luggages. On Google, a lot of negative review about the cleanliness but my room is ok. Check in counter is at 7th floor, be aware cause a lot of hotels in the building. Didn't expect Tv is available on EACH bunk bed.Great!"

"The hotel entrance is hard to see as there's no obvious signage pointing direction, however the owner of the eating shops downstairs was kind enough to point us the way without us asking, I guess it's a norm for them to see travellers come with luggages wandering around looked lost. First, need to go to the alley next to the last shop of the row (selling donut), walk to the middle of the alley, there's a lot of claw machines along the way. And there's lift lobby in the middle of the building, without signage. The sign for the hotel is seen only in the lift. The staff are friendly and helpful. Bottles of drinking water, shampoo, hair dryer, towels and face towels are provided, however cotton bud, toothpaste and toothbrush are not provided. The bedrooms looked like the picture given by Trip.com."

"Excellent location. Daan Park just across the road, mrt station beside the hotel, cafe and shops nearby. Free flow coffee and snacks at the lobby and Free laundry too! The only comment is no cupboard, but was ok for me. Room is very clean and love the white color. Bathtub is clean and nice. Staff was wonderful and respond timely"

"I had a pleasant stay at Norway Forest Hotel in Taichung. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Taichung Train Station, which makes traveling around the city very convenient. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby.
The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with good water pressure.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
The hotel also has a playground for children, which is great for families, as well as laundry and drying facilities, very convenient for longer stays.

TTravelindee- Location: Very convenient. Right in front of Taipei main station. Accessible to convenient stores, fruit stalls, walkable distance to Ximending. A bit difficult to find at first as Google map leads the way to use the back side of the elevator. The hotel is on the 5th floor of the brick colour building. Enter through the entrance next to the family mart then use the elevator on the most end.
- Room: No window in my room but that's fine, as we stay in the hotel only at night. If you plan to spend lots of your time in the room, then this place is not for you. The room is not sound proof. So you can hear people walking in the lobby or talking/laughing from the room next door.
- Guest type: I noticed that most of the guests are asian.
- Hygiene: if you are a germaphobic, then you might feel gross with their carpet. But overall, the toilet, shower, and sink are clean. Bed sheets are also ok. I think what downgrades the room the most is the old carpet. We put a make up room sign everyday before we left and our room got cleaned, towels being replaced everyday.
- Service: staffs know what they are doing.

IIrene 887So far so good, room was comfy enough. Good area, walk just 3minutes away from shillin night market and 6minutes to metro station. The problem is there is no elevator to our room, meanwhile we got 3 big luggages 😕

CCP_LeeI write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all.
The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing?
The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room.
On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before.
It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well?
Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me.
It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again

SSimYenHotel location is very convenient, just behind Mitsukoshi Department and across Taipei Main Station. Very good for catching early morning train as us. Look out for the lift lobby, is just beyond the boba tea shop, lobby is 5th level. Plenty of food options around the area.

The room was clean, though there were some stains on the bedsheets. After I requested a change, staff promptly brought clean ones, which was great. Daily housekeeping kept everything tidy. Overall, a good choice!
