Spent five nights here at around Easter time, visiting my relatives living nearby. Hotel is a hidden gem - really beautiful, ancient, quiet; with magnificent panoramic view of Rome, esp at night. Staff are all very nice, friendly and provide help whenever required. Breakfast is fine, not much in variety but for me it's good enough. will certainly come again when I next visit Rome/grottaferrata.

Il palazzo è tenuto molto bene, camere ampie e spaziose. Nota positiva che non si trova spesso è la divisione dei rifiuti all’interno della camera. Il personale gentile e preparato e il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo. Ho provato anche la spa e mi sono trovata bene. La struttura si trova al centro di Soriano nel Cimino, la città in sé è bella da visitare ma molto piccola, la consiglierei per un soggiorno rilassante. Il luogo si trova vicino al Parco del Bomarzo e non è lontano da Viterbo

Läget är utmärkt, rummet är prisvärt. Men frukosten var riktigt dålig, jag köpte frukost som ingick i priset, men jag hade bara den första dagen. Allt är dåligt, bröd, frukt, sallad, ingenting är bra. Även servicen är ingen service. Jag tycker att hotellet måste förbättra det. Även för restaurangen på den översta taket är utsikten okej, men inte särskilt trevlig. Servicen är på topp, men det finns inte fler rätter till vårt utbud. Priset är rimligt, men matkvaliteten är inte bra. Jag skulle vilja bo där igen, men förhoppningsvis kan frukosten förbättras i framtiden.

Hotellets läge är mycket bra. Det är mycket nära till Colosseum och tågstationen. Om du behöver ta en taxi, kan du fråga hotellet receptionen för att hjälpa till. Om det är många personer kan du ringa till en stor bil med plats för 7 personer för att ta med barn på hotellet Det är här vi hade ett problem Ctrip sa att barn under 17 år använder befintliga sängar gratis, men hotellet godkände det inte rum på 3 dagar, men Ctrip hjälpte oss aktivt att hantera det. Jag skulle vilja ge Ctrips kundtjänstpersonal en tummen upp.

The location of the hotel is convenient and safe. Close to Piazza di Spagna. However the checkin process was disappointing because the hotel can’t find me via phone for the self checkin. There is nobody at reception at the time of checking in. So get prepared by this. You can leave your luggages at the restaurant at the corner of the building, which is owned by the hotel owner. There are some noise at night when people coming back and the wall is obviously thin.

I had a pleasant experience staying at this hotel. The room has enough size for the two of us and the bathroom was fairly good. I have tried eating breakfast but I think it was a bit pricey. I love the location as it was quiet. I will definitely recommend this place to friends who are planning to visit Rome. The room rate was fair.

Только что выехали из отеля и хочется сразу написать отзыв. Отель очень понравился. Расположен недалеко от всех достопримечательностей, в пешей доступности. До Колизея 15 минут. В еврейском квартале, где сразу несколько ресторанов с кошерной кухней.
Завтраки супер! Подаются изысканно. Много десертов, фруктов. Обслуживающий персонал вежливый.
Номера интересные. Полотенца и халаты хорошего качества. Косметические принадлежности в наличии.

ИИлья КотикTLTR: This is not a 4 star hotel. The location is great, but literally everything else is a compromise…
Let me start with 2 advantages of this hotel, since it won’t take long. The first is location. You literally take the north exit from Roma Termini to Via Marsala, cross two streets and take a right - and you are there! It’s that simple :) The other advantage is breakfast: it’s the same everyday, but it’s decent, much better than I expected.
And now to the disadvantages… First and foremost: there was black mold in the bathroom! Lots of it. Why “lots”? Because the acceptable amount of mold in the bathroom for a 4 start hotel is zero.
Second, the bed didn’t have a headboard. Do you know the acceptable number of headboards for a 4 start hotel? You guessed it: at least one :) The bed was actually two beds crammed together (which I don’t mind), but there was no duvet cover! Seriously: there was a sheet to sleep on, a separate sheet to cover yourself, a warm blanket and a sheet to put over it! Needless to say that during the night the sheet that was between the body and the blanket would be carried away. And yeah, all this 3-in-1 construction was tucked under the mattress like the future of Italy depends on it! What the actual ****?! Do you sleep like that at home? I bet you don’t; so, why would you sleep like that in a 4 star hotel?!
Thirdly, there were no slippers, no microwave, no ******* table to eat from, no teakettle, no iron, no shower curtain, nothing! What we got was two paper cups in the bathroom and that’s it. 4 star hotel class service, right? It gets better! If we wanted hot water, we had to go downstairs from the 4th floor to get it from a broken *** mid-sized boiler located right next to the reception desk! Dear guests of this 4 star hotel, please don’t mind my wife getting some hot water for her noodles while you check in and pay tourist tax, it’s fine. When in Rome, you know…
Fourthly, the quality of everything in the room was not great… to say the least. The walls were dirty, the hair dryer was really bad, the bottom of the bathroom door was broken. What the ****, guys?! Have you heard of amortization of assets or something? Not cool, not cool. I pay the tax, you fix the ******* door, ok?
Lastly, my favorite… there was such a big gap under the front door of the room that everything that was happening on the hotel floor sounded like it was happening in our corridor. I don’t mind people walking past our door, but it really felt like there constantly was a stranger in our room. Couldn’t sleep well because of that. And let me tell you that there was some loud love-making somewhere on the floor… and I felt like a couple was ******* in our corridor! 4 star hotel experience? Not by a bit…
All right, let me tell you why I put such a stress on this “4 star hotel” thing. The problem is that in Italy stars in a hotel don’t mean anything! I mean, they mean that the building has a certain amount of facilities, space, etc., but there is no correlation with the quality of staying in a room. Seriously, we stayed in a 3 star hotel in Venice and the room there was much better!
To sum it up, this hotel is nice if you need a quick stay next to the railway station… but if you plan to spend more than two days in it… just pick something else if your budget allows. If not: well, you still got the location and the breakfast :)

挚挚筱Ärligt talat, min erfarenhet är detta hotell lite lägre än motsvarande nivå hotell. Madrassen på detta hotell är inte dålig. Men, tyvärr, kommer den madrassen att vara den enda punkten jag är nöjd med den. Tjänsten är normal, men deras utrustningsunderhåll är oroande, det finns flera lampor nere i mitt rum och duschdörren i badrummet verkar svår att trycka på. Viktigast av allt, luftkonditioneringen i rummet är inte tillräckligt kraftfull vilket är en fruktansvärd information för turister i sommar. Bilden som bifogas i den här kommentaren är den utomhusmiljön, det kanske inte är tillräckligt tydligt, men jag måste säga att det utanför är för mörkt😂, men det är inte ett lyxhotell i centrum, därför är det fortfarande acceptabelt.

GGästanvändareWe stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options.
The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find.
Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy.
Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home.
This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date.
After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel.
It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us.
Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference.
Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter.
Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for.
As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out.
They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise.
Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can.

GGästanvändareService from staff was excellent. We were always glad our room was clean and had fresh towels daily. Breakfast choices were also awesome. Two things I’m not 100% glad with was the absence of AC in the room which was uncomfortable at night even with 2 windows open. We came first week of April and it was hot. Also the start of breakfast could be earlier like 6am as we had to leave the hotel for activities around 6am in some days of our stay. But overall I still would say this is a great hotel especially for the location.

Jjoeypris ganluI booked this hotel as it was within walking distance to a conference venue nearby. The hotel staff were very kind and I was able to check in early as my flight to Rome was early, this helped a lot as I was able to freshen up before visiting the sights . The nearest metro station is Eur Palasport which will take you to all the tourist sights . The reception staff was very kind to make me an espresso in the morning as the coffee machine was not working.

GGästanvändareWe were very pleased with the hotel and stayed there at both the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. We rented a car at the airport and parked it right in front of the hotel's door in a private courtyard. That was very convenient. I believe they charged us about 35 Euros each night for that perk. The hotel was luxurious, and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. They had someone carry our bags to and from our room during check-in and check-out. Everything in the large room worked; it was clean, and there was a safe to store your valuables.
As Americans, a few reminders or unexpected things to note. You'll need a power adapter (easily purchased on Amazon) and, unless you bring a voltage converter, make sure any appliances (CPAP, travel steamer/iron, etc) are compatible with both 110V and 220/230V. We didn't find washcloths in any of the hotels in Italy, so we just used hand towels in the shower. The shower at this hotel (both rooms) was a bath/shower combination. There was no shower curtain or door, only a small partition near the removable shower head to keep the water from splashing everywhere, which it basically did. While it is a beautiful historic building, there are a couple of elevators at this hotel, so you don't need to lug your stuff up a bunch of stairs.
The room key is enormous and they only give you one. We kept ours in the car whenever we left the hotel so we wouldn't carry it around. Even though we had a car, we found it more convenient to leave it at the hotel and take an Uber to Vatican City rather than walk more than a mile each way, which we also did twice. The area surrounding the hotel was historic and lots of fun. Plenty of places to shop and eat. The breakfast buffet at the hotel each morning was also superb. Plenty of hot and cold items to fill you up before trekking out.
That's about it. Don't forget to check out the view from the rooftop at the hotel. Have a great time in Rome!
