"This is the first time I've given a hotel such a bad rating, for the following reasons: 1) I was given a room at check-in, but when I swiped my card to open the door, it turned out to be an uncleaned room, even though it was already past 5 pm; 2) I was given a new room, and the toilet flush was barely strong, requiring three or four flushes to clean it; 3) There was no hairdryer in the room, and when I asked at the front desk, they said there were only three in the whole hotel, and they had all been lent out, and they didn't know which room they had been lent out to; 4) I happened to encounter a group of students staying at the hotel, and they were noisy until 2 am; 5) The hotel is two hotels sharing the same building, and I went to the wrong restaurant for breakfast. A staff member called me back, and I found out that the two hotels served different food, and the breakfast at the hotel I stayed at had only two options and far fewer choices. I felt discriminated against."

"A few weeks ago, my wife and I spent three nights at this great historic and charming hotel. It was no doubt, the best of our 20 day journey through southern France. A great benefit this hotel offers to visitors, is its privileged location, within walking distance to the information office and to most historic attractions of Arles. A great surprise was to finally stay at a large room fitted with all the amenities of modern life (Safe, Flat Screen TV, Ample Closet, Heating/AC). The bathroom, also of good size, was charmingly furnished. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They answered all our questions and helped booking other services. If all of the above was not enough, we were informed that Picasso had stayed in the same room during his stays at Arles. BTW, it was room number 2. It comes with a nice window facing "Caffe La Nuit" of van Gogh's fame. No card entry to the room, instead an old and very traditional key/lock. Because of weather conditions (cold and windy), we did not enjoy the garden and pool. But we sat at times at the bar/pool table area. It was nice and nostalgic to find it decorated with large photographs of famous French movie stars. All the common areas are very beautifully decorated with antiques, posters, photos, vases, etc. The only deficiency we encountered was the breakfast food. The hotel offers two types of "formulas". One is the full buffet one, the other, more like the continental version, a glass of juice, a Croissant, and a Cup of Coffee. Since the buffet ingredients were not exactly of our taste, we opted for the continental breakfast more often than not. However, in all, we enjoyed our stay at this "Gem", and we will gladly recommend it to anyone heading to Arles."

"Vacker plats, hotellrum är inte alltför stora men tillräckliga.Wi-Fi i rummen är föråldrad och långsam.Buffetmat är mer än tillräckligt, även om kvaliteten var mycket lägre i år: för mycket ris och pasta med för lite bra sauce. En dag serverades jordgubbarna, och kocken strålade för att alla åt så mycket.Svinet var mycket smakfullt men innehöll för många stora fett.Vi har känt hotellet i åratal, och det var det minsta vi njutade av.Vi ser fram emot nästa år."

The night view along the way was like stepping into a medieval European oil painting. The room was spacious enough, with a small table and chairs by the door. It was very relaxing."

"Booked here for a week. Stayed one night during which I booked somewhere else for the following days. Nothing like what you're led to believe. Needs a considerable update. Room was very small and dirty, and the smell was horrendous. One plastic chair even though two ofyouare staying. Mind, it would have been hard to fit another plastic chair in there. Location is a lot further from centre than suggested. However, one plus is that the number2 bus is just around the corner and takes you straight into Arles. Arles is stunning and definitely worth a visit. Just not from this hotel"

Mycket rörliga och tacksamma.Hotellet är i den gamla staden, dekorerat med mycket egenskaper, och vi gillar dem alla.När vi lämnade, skördade de frukt under dörrens trä, det var en underbar scenen!"

"LOCATION to historical sights, restaurants, shopping is perfect. If leaving on a Rhône cruise, literally a 5 minute, easy walk to port. Extremely clean, quiet and functional rooms, with very pleasant staff. Highly recommend! The only downside is no elevator, but staff will assist you."
