"The former residence of a cardinal was absolutely stunning upon opening the door. It's centrally located, so be sure to contact the hotel in advance before driving in, as the old town is difficult to navigate. There's a section where you need to get out and use a walkie-talkie to lower a metal post in the middle of the road to proceed. Parking is at the back entrance. Driving in the old town requires a certain level of skill, especially in maneuvering. The staff were very welcoming, introducing the property and helping with restaurant recommendations and reservations. The rooms were beautiful, reflecting the owner's impeccable taste. Many items in the house are historical artifacts. Breakfast was served in the courtyard, which had a lovely atmosphere. While not particularly extensive, it was sufficient. The entire house is incredibly photogenic and would be perfect for a wedding. The swimming pool was just okay; the water could have been cleaner. We didn't let the children swim."

"This is a wonderful hotel within the walls of Avignon. Our superior room was spacious and comfortable in every respect. Our hostess Rosalie was kind and very helpful both in allowing us to unload our luggage right in front, directing us to parking, and both recommending and making dinner reservations. Included breakfast was perfect served on a rooftop terrace. Highly recommend and definitely would return"

"This is a wonderful family operated boutique hotel. We stayed with my elderly parents who could have the courtyard level room (no stairs) and we had the top room inside part of the bell tower. The rooms are all different and have real personality and are super comfortable. Great quality pillows and bedding and Air con. Patrick who manages the hotel was super helpful providing restaurant suggestions and taxis etc. The cherry on top is the breakfast. It is served at an agreed time as it’s a small kitchen, and all locally made and plentiful. Patrick serves us Fresh fruits, yogurt, warm quiches, baguettes, croissants and jams. It’s a luxurious feast. No dreadful breakfast buffet here! Avignon exceeded our expectations in every way and staying here was a huge part of the experience."
