"We recently had a 3D2N stay at Holiday Inn Resort Batam with our 15-month-old daughter. What we liked: We arrived earlier than the official check-in time and were pleasantly surprised that the hotel allowed us to check in early. The room was large and spacious, which was comfortable for a family with a young child. The service at Tea Tree Spa was excellent. The staff were professional, friendly, and provided a very relaxing experience. What disappointed us: 1. Lack of assistance with luggage Upon arrival, it was drizzling and we had several pieces of luggage, along with our 15-month-old daughter. No staff offered to help carry our luggage to the room. Instead, we were simply directed to our building and left to manage everything ourselves. We had to carry our child and rush through the rain because we did not want her to catch a cold on the very first day of our holiday. 2. Old rooms and cleanliness concerns The hotel appears quite dated. Our room looked worn, felt dirty, and had a noticeable musty smell. To make matters worse, we found dead cockroaches in the bathroom. We requested a room change, but were informed that the hotel was fully booked. Housekeeping came with only a broom, did a quick check of the room, and left without much follow-up. 3. Panda Kids Room safety and hygiene The cleanliness of the Panda Kids Room was below expectations. It made us question how thoroughly the area is cleaned and maintained. More importantly, the flooring was hard and neither cushioned nor carpeted. During our stay, our daughter fell while playing and injured her nose. Thankfully the injury was minor, but for a children's play area, we believe proper safety flooring should be a basic requirement. 4. Breakfast quality The breakfast selection was limited and lacked variety. Many of the dishes we tried were also overly salty, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. We hope the management will take these concerns seriously and make improvements for future guests."

We got 2 connecting rooms, which was really convenient as we could easily access both rooms and communicate with each other easily with our family members. This was our first time in Batam, and honestly the service here was amazing. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcomed throughout the stay.
