"A luxurious boutique property with fantastic facilities and a million dollar view of scenic Bonifacio France. This is Easily a 5-star property with spacious villa suites, a great pool and bar area and modern conveniences, yet why only 3-stars you ask? Being a seasonal property (they close at the end of October) means they have a young, inexperienced staff which is readily apparent from the first moment you arrive. They just aren’t skilled in dealing with they type of people who are paying 500€ per night for a hotel room. Secondly the food and beverage service is sub-par. While there was a breakfast buffet included in our rate the food options while varied were institutional and hum drum; far below expectations for a luxurious French resort. Also the food available at the bar was disappointing. We ordered a charcuterie platter and also a bruschetta board to accompany some wine instead of taking another 25€ taxi trip (each way) into town for dinner. The meat looked like leftovers from breakfast with an off color. The bruschetta was essentially toast with some cherry tomatoes and herbs. It was dry and flavorless-such a missed opportunity both to enhance revenue and to reinforce the luxury brand they want to cultivate. Bottom line-if you have a car and don’t mind dealing with the extreme parking challenges in Bonifacio , the food issues might not matter. In which case the property itself is a beautiful oasis of calm and peace. Tips based on our experiences: But don’t ask them to do laundry as you won’t necessarily get it back the same day as the only person able to do it leaves at 3. Also don’t arrive before 4 as your room likely won’t be ready despite the emails they send asking for your arrival time, and there’s really no place to hang out unless it’s nice enough to get in the pool. Sorry Cala di Greco, you have so much unrealized potential…."

Hôtel E Tre Stelle

"Hotel was not cheap even for the prices of comparable accomodation. Breakfast was not included in the cost and too expensive at 10 euros each. Location is great but recommend staying in Porto Vecchio as it has a better nightlife and beaches. Bonifacio is better in a self-catered studio as it is suitable for families. Went to have a chilled stag do with 3 mates. The service was not great, with the owners complaining about us leaving towels on rails. Eventually got served drinks near the pool, it is clear the owners are newbies and have been open only 1 month. Rooms are smallish and toilets have wet floors with no shower tray. Standard of cleanliness is good but overall, we found it not worth the money and it is a bit far from everything which seems to focus on Portovecchio."

"This hotel has so much potential and it is in a beautiful location, but is sadly lacking in lots of basics hence our 3 star review. The price of everything is ridiculously expensive which is probably because there is little by way of alternatives once you are on the island. The food, whilst priced at Michelin star prices, is sadly lacking in quality based on the breakfast experience and our one lunch and dinner experience at the hotel. The service was not great at dinner with more waiting staff on shift than I could count, and yet we waited 1 hour ten minutes for our starter. It is perhaps explained by the occurrence a “chefs special dinner” An experience costing some 200 euros per head (without drinks) which obviously took priority over other diners who hadn’t paid 400 euros per couple for the dinner experience. The starter was good when it came and the pasta Vongole was plentiful but dry. We had no communication from the hotel and I had to call them to enquire about the ferry transfer and baggage collection from port. Once I had checked in the WhatsApp’s from the hotel started. I compare this to the other hotels we are staying at which start communicating a week before arrival. The bedrooms are ok and as others state they are tired and tired in need of updating to justify the price. It is very clean though and the bathrooms are good having been renovated recently."
