"Overall, our stay at Madison Apartments was pleasant once we finally got into the room. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed — from toiletries to kitchen essentials. The A/C wasn’t working properly at the time, but it wasn’t a big issue since the weather was cool. However, the check-in process was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had called ahead to ask if we could check in just 30 minutes early as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. Upon arriving around 1:35 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, which I completely understood since the official check-in time was 2 pm. But when we came back at 2:40 pm, the room was ”still not ready”. The receptionist asked us to wait another 30 minutes to an hour — we ended up waiting until almost 3:30 pm, and it was still not prepared. It was honestly a terrible start to our stay — being sick, exhausted, and having nowhere to rest while continuously being told “just a little longer.” The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but it was clear she wasn’t getting any real updates from housekeeping. It felt disorganised and unprofessional for an apartment of this standard. Breakfast was another letdown for $25 per person — very basic, with no hot food. Just bread, cereal, fruit in syrup, and some bakery items. The pancakes were the only saving grace. Coffee mix wasn’t good either. Once inside, though, the apartment itself made up for it — spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need. It’s a nice place overall, but the check-in process seriously needs improvement."

"Midnight Collection was in a central location where amenities is surrounded. You have pub, tram station and walking distance to civic center. The facilities is good enough to have a relax and enjoyable swimming pool and sauna room after a long day. Food wise is pretty tasty, while it may not be free flow in term of buffet style."

"Great hotel. Two big towers of rooms, great views from the windows. Wi-Fi is good. Everything very clean. The light rail (tram) is right outside so it's easy to get around. There's a small convenience store and a takeaway place right next door but otherwise you need to take the tram up or down the track to get food. No complaints at all. I was booked four nights but extended to stay longer."

"Kina gammal världslig men inte för dålig.Den största smärtan var brandlarmen som gick ut på en fryst vintermorgon klockan sju:30. Detta är en regelbunden händelse och inte rättad, uppenbarligen avbrott av någon rökare, 20-minuters ******** tillkännagivanden innan vi upptäckte från en annan resenär att det var en falsk alarm.  Handlingar smickade får och gjorde allt fel. Badrummet i vårt rum var litet och toaletter måste samlas in från fronten.🙄 Han måste låsa upp väskor och nerför trappan och vid ingången.Kina lame. Han som arbetade på middagsrummet men på frukostskiftet var lite diamant.Efter en ”konstig” kommentar måste han ha märkt att jag var imponerad av brandlarmen ******** och gick ut ur hans väg.En flaska födelsedagsbubblor var en klassisk touch av honom. Jag skulle stanna där igen på grund av honom."

"We recently stayed at the Canberra Rex Hotel as a family of three, traveling from Sydney to celebrate the New Year. While there were some positive aspects, our overall experience was disappointing. Starting with the positives, the reception staff were very nice and courteous, which we appreciated. We liked that it is very near a light rail station and quite close to parks, restaurants, and cafes. The layout of the hotel posed challenges. Our room was quite far from the lifts, and with only two lifts positioned side by side in a corner of the building, accessibility was inconvenient. It seems the hotel design is to blame, as the lifts are not centrally located like in most hotels. One of the biggest letdowns was the pool. We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, hoping our little one could enjoy it. Unfortunately, the pool heater was not working, and the water was freezing cold. To make matters worse, we noticed some bugs in the pool, which was unsettling. The staff wouldn’t have known the heater wasn’t working if we hadn’t informed them. It felt like the pool's maintenance and condition were overlooked, which was a major disappointment for us. Had we known that we won't be able to enjoy the pool, we would've settled in a hotel that is far more affordable. As compensation for the pool issue, we requested and were granted a late check-out, which was a kind gesture from the hotel. However, it didn’t feel adequate given the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced. Additionally, the King Suite we stayed in had some practical flaws. It only had one bin, which was insufficient for a family of three, as it filled up quickly. Another inconvenience was the shower area, which didn’t have any shelves. This meant we had to place shampoo and conditioner bottles on the floor while showering, which was far from ideal. Overall, while the reception staff’s service was commendable, the hotel fell short in terms of facilities and maintenance. I hope the management takes these points into consideration for future guests."

"The customer service was great, though i didn't have a need to call, i noticed there was no telephone in the room and I could not connect to YouTube or netflix from my device to their Television. Otherwise, i was satisfied."
