"Choosing this hotel for my trip to Changsha was definitely the right decision! The location is incredibly convenient, super close to Metro Exit 7, and right downstairs there's a Heytea (Cha Yan Yue Se) outlet. There are tons of snack shops all around, and you can easily walk to Wuyi Square and Taiping Street. The hotel has a Zen-inspired design, and as soon as you walk in, there's a subtle, relaxing scent of incense. The room was spotless, and the smart control system (Xiaodu) for lights and curtains was a great touch – no need to get out of bed!"

"We stayed at this hotel because we were seeing a show at the Meixi Lake Grand Theatre, and it's super convenient – just a five-minute walk away. They called us a day before to confirm our booking and Marriott Bonvoy account, which was great. However, when we got to the front desk, they told us the room type we booked wasn't available. They offered an upgrade but with an extra rollaway bed, which wasn't ideal for friends traveling together – a king bed and a small extra bed isn't really suitable. Thankfully, they resolved the issue in the end, but for a Marriott property that confirmed our booking in advance, not having the booked room type available was a bit surprising. The room itself was spacious and clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, not like those central systems that can be hit or miss. Breakfast officially goes until 10:30 AM, but the noodle station was already closed by 10 AM. Also, it has some common Marriott chain issues like poor soundproofing on the doors and no screen mirroring for the TV."

"Overall, I was very satisfied. The location is excellent; being right opposite the military district provided a great sense of security. Downstairs, there are buses that go to places like Binhe Road, and the subway is just a few minutes' walk away. The rice noodles at breakfast were delicious – I ate them every day during my stay. The hotel also provides a dining voucher, and I only found out after checking that the restaurant on the second floor is actually a popular spot. Their chopped chili fish head was the best I had during my four days in Changsha... The only downside is the poor soundproofing; there were noisy kids upstairs jumping around late at night."

"Facilities: A bit dated, despite being renovated in 2019, some wallpaper is already peeling. Hygiene: Pretty good, considering the existing conditions, the cleanliness is excellent, which shows the staff are diligent. Service: The hotel staff are all great—friendly, smiling, and proactive!"

"Facilities: Very complete – The hotel elevators aren't slow, and you can use your card or face recognition to operate them and open your room door. There are also full-length mirrors inside the elevators. Rooms come equipped with a mini-fridge, TV, full-length mirror, and more. On the 5th floor, there's a buffet breakfast restaurant, laundry room, gym, and a sky garden. Cleanliness: Clean, no stains found, and the room had no strange odors. The front desk staff thoughtfully assigned us a room on a non-smoking floor. The elevator lobby had a faint pleasant scent, but there seemed to be a subtle smoky smell inside the elevator itself. While not strong, I hope this can be improved! Service: Superb – A big shout-out to the front desk staff, I didn't catch their names, but the two working on the afternoon of May 6th, 2026, were both very friendly. The front desk lady noted my request for a non-smoking room and even helped upgrade our room type (to a non-smoking floor). Furthermore, whenever we passed by, the front desk always greeted us warmly. It wasn't just the front desk; all the hotel staff were very enthusiastic. Overall, it was a great experience."

"The location of this hotel and the room quality for the price are amazing! It’s located right next to a metro station which is only one stop away from the central square, and from there you can take another metro line to orange island or to the railway stations - so this is very handy. The hotel is near lots of places to eat/shop, and the view from the hotel is nice. The room was nicely furnished, had automated controls for all of the electronics/curtains, and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast was not the most expansive, but was tasty. All of these positive attributes were unfortunately somewhat let down by the service, which although incredibly friendly, was certainly unorganised. To begin with, we arrived at 2:30pm for a 2pm check in time, so that we could go out to explore. Unfortunately, we were told the room was not ready, and that we were to come back in an hour, when it would be ready. Given that we were only staying for one night, this significantly altered our plans - but they did at least allow us to leave our bags. However, upon returning around 4pm, we were told that our room was still not ready. Despite the staff being very friendly, not much of an apology/compensation was given. Therefore, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes in the lobby for the room to be ready. Once we were told to head up, we arrived to a wet floor. Whilst this didn’t take too much longer to dry, it was another inconvenience - and all of these piled up to essentially waste our planned afternoon in Changsha. Unfortunately, there were further issues later that day. We had some laundry to clean+dry, and so decided to make use of the hotel facilities. We were quite happy to load the washing machines ourselves, but after doing so, we were told that they would handle the drying for us - great! However, if we had known how long this process would have taken, we would never have accepted. We initially thought we could come back to collect our clothes 2 hours later - a standard time for 30min wash + drying (dryers were all free at the time) - so we returned at about 7pm. However, it was clear that they had forgotten about our (or perhaps other customer’s) washing, as they ran to the machines to move things around, and told us it would be another 2 hours to dry, and then we would be able to collect our clothes afterwards from reception. As a result, we decided to head out for the evening, a planning to return later to collect. At about 12pm, we returned from the evening, obviously expecting the drying to be finished (as we were told we could collect it at 9pm). However, after the staff once again ran to the laundry room (clearly having forgotten about them), we were told they were still not ready and that there was a queue. We completely understand that given the size of the hotel, we would potentially have to wait longer - but the fact we were initially told that it would be ready at 9pm is what made this frustrating, and that it seemed very unorganised. As we were leaving the next morning, we had to stay up late to guarantee the drying would be ready, and so it was only past 1am in the morning we received them back (despite the laundry room being empty at 5pm). Overall, whilst the room was nice and the location was great, these issues significantly impacted our stay (especially due to just being there for one night)."

Joy S Exclusive - Luggage Delivery (High-speed Rail Station, Airport): Complimentary luggage delivery is very convenient and offers excellent value for money."

"Whoever comes to live in this house will be blessed! First of all, the sound insulation effect is almost zero. On the night of the 6th, I could clearly hear the snoring of the uncle next door. No. 7 was even worse. There were five or six people in the room next door. They kept running and shouting in the corridor, slamming the door, and even yelling in the room and telling dirty jokes (even listening to the conversation it sounded like I already know the boss). I had already told my boss in advance that I would be working on my paper in the room. If possible, please remind the next door to be quieter, but it was still noisy from about two o'clock in the morning to about six o'clock in the morning, and I couldn't sleep all night. At about 4 a.m. on the 8th, I was woken up again by the iron weather shield on the roof outside the window. A drop of water on it would make a deafening noise, not to mention the torture caused by the constant dripping of water. Outside the window is the stall area, which is almost never quiet from morning to night. It is only a little quieter at five or six in the afternoon to catch up on some sleep. In addition, I can’t understand why I booked a room for three days. The boss only gave me a room card that can only be used for one day of electricity on the first day. Who can understand that I woke up after finishing the payment on the first night and found that the lights could not be turned on and there was no electricity. Speechless? I ordered three days, can't you just charge me for three days? Is it possible that I have to go to the boss every day to change the room card? In addition, on the night of the 8th, there was no hot water and I couldn't take a shower. It was winter and I didn't open the window, but there were still mosquitoes in the room... Anyway, I didn't feel comfortable staying in the hotel for the past three days. I originally stayed in the hotel just to find a quiet environment to study, but it ended up killing me in the past three days. If you have a mental breakdown, it’s okay if you don’t ask your boss for compensation."
