Hotel Isaacs Cork City

"It takes only 10 minutes to walk from Cork train station with a suitcase. It's basically a straight line. It's all flat. It's very close to the river. The city center shopping center is across the river. It's very convenient. I didn't order breakfast, so I don't know how the hotel breakfast is. The room is spacious and clean with large activity space. The furniture and facilities are good, and the mattress is comfortable to sleep. The beautiful lady at the front desk is very friendly and greeted us in Chinese. The only bad thing is that the room we stayed in was on the second floor facing the street. The bar downstairs was too noisy until late, and light sleepers would be affected. Everything else was perfect."

"Very clean and spacious room, great amenities in the common room area (kitchen, etc.). Overall good stay for the price, the check in time is a bit later than other hotels but they allow early bag drop offs"

Moorepark West House

"The room was actually quite nice, but the bathroom was outside the room, even though it was private. The main thing I felt was the owner was rather cold and distant. When I asked about highway tolls, she flatly said she didn't know anything about them. That's fine, after all, not helping is part of the job. I was walking in the hotel courtyard when she drove. I saw her approaching and quickly dodged to the side, hiding in the bushes by the road. She then sped towards me, feeling incredibly hostile. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was going on. Overt hostility was rare during my time in the British Isles, but this owner was the only time I felt that way. Perhaps even the only time."

Food was exceptional, views were beautiful and this hotel is a hidden gem suitable for all ages of life. well done Schull Harbour Hotel Staff and Management. We will be back!"

"As many reviews mentioned, the breakfast was absolutely wonderful! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good breakfast. We booked a double room for two, and it was toasty warm even in January (though we couldn't figure out how to turn off the heater!). The room was spacious, with a sofa and table, which was a nice bonus – it was great to have somewhere to sit and relax with a cup of tea besides the bed. The TV turned on, but no channels came through, so we gave up on that. There was no bathtub, just a shower, but the water pressure and temperature were excellent. The decor and building itself had a lovely vintage feel, like a charming old European apartment, but the shower was surprisingly modern."

Breda, the lovely hostess was very accommodating in our open ended booking and all other matters( Having other relatives visit etc) The room was comfortable, the breakfast choice excellent and the stuation for our needs escellent. Highly recommend"

"The booked room is on the first floor, there are more stairs, it is really inconvenient for the lady with a large suitcase. The location is relatively remote and not easy to find, and the restaurant is also nearby. You must eat before you stay, but the breakfast is rich."

"We booked two 'bungalows' and were told a week in advance that one of them was unavailable and would get a triple room instead (no problem here). Upon arrival we were told that neither bungalow was available and that we would all be in twin/triple rooms. We had purchased a lot of food and now we had no means to prepare / cook it. The receptionists were pleasant but absolutely useless when it came to dealing with the issue. They are clearly given no responsibility. I requested to speak with the manager, Laura, on multiple occasions during our stay and subsequently and she never got in touch with me. Whilst this is budget accommodation the level of service is still nowhere near what it should be. I would recommend anyone thinking of staying to look elsewhere."
