"A sweet deal for $25/night in mid July 2026. Great customer service, good location, and some of the staff speak English. The rooms were mostly comfortable even for a tall person. Decent hot water and pressure in the showers (but slow and sometimes clogged drainage), televisions in the rooms that don't work as intended, reliable wifi albeit slow, nice views from the windows, free coffee water and tea, broken/malfunctioning lamps and lights in the rooms. The hotel sits on one end of a public square with just about everything you'd need on a daily basis within walking distance."

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCIA. Hice una reserva con semanas de anticipacion pues aproveche una promocion en el precio. Llego y me dicen que el precio no era correcto y ademas que no me podian dar alojamineto porque todo estaba ocupado. Me dejaron en la calle solo porque el precio no les convenia y al ser semana santa no quiisieron aceptar mi reserva cuando yo ya habia pagado a Trip por ella. El colmo fue que se negaban a devolverme mi dinero diciendo que ellos tampoco habian recibido el pago, cuando los pagos los hace Trip o ******* hasta que la estadia sea realizada. Tuve que llamar a la policia. CINICOS, INFORMALES y DESHONESTOS."

"Our first 3 nights in Ecuador was spent at The Yanuncay Hotel in Cuenca. The hotel is a very short taxi ride to Parque de La Madre and all the wonders of the historic district. The hotel manager Marcos was amazing! He made every effort possible to be helpful and accommodating. We had 6 very large and heavy pieces of luggage and he helped us load all of them in our van that carried us to Loja. The room was comfortable, clean and roomy. Breakfast on the rooftop exceeded expectations. Location is central , four blocks from main square. Full bar. All in all would highly recommend for any length of stay"

Hard working and friendly. The hotel is a colonial mansion with all the modern amenities. No need for electronics to alter the nostalgic look and feel. I told Fredric that I will go back he told me it will be peak so call ahead. Looks like I won’t be able to I’m sorry."
