"Arrived on a Sunday key is in a safe box by the front door. Reception work 10 -2 Monday to Saturday. Very helpful and friendly staff. Our studio was on the first floor , via stairs and lift, at the rear facing the village and across to the old harbour. With a decent size balcony looking out accriss to opposite apartments Large clean and comfortable. Nearly everything is provided even mop and broom. Washing up liquid, sponge, and clothes. No oven, the combination microwave has no removable shelf, so the grill section can't really be used. The bath is of a normal size, but the water heater only supplied enough hot water for half a bath, and then you wait for it to heat up to fill the bath up. Television is small and spanish channels only. No room safe. They don't tell you until you read the notice in the room about the intermittent building work between 10 and 4 at the rear of the building. We were lucky in the 2 weeks no work was done. During certain wind conditions, there is a smell of sewage from the bathroom, which they know about. BE CAREFUL WITH THE HAIR DRYER SEE PICTURES The bed has an annoying squeak when you turn over. The one thing we found is the lack of an information sheet to tell you things like towel changes, bedding changes... they hang them on the outside of your door for you to do yourself , maybe it's their interpretation of independent holidays. The pool is absolutely freezing, and the steps in and out of it are loose, which they know about. The safety Lifebouy ring is hidden out of view, with no availability of cushions for the sunloungers. There is a paid launderette on the lower floor, and the rubbish bins are also down there, but again, no one tells you unless you ask. There is no cafe yet it's signed on the wall by reception. If you need a walk-in shower, ask when you book. To sum up, yes, i would go again. It's spacious, clean, comfortable, and a few tweaks it would achieve 10 out of 10 . I mark it as 9 ... until the new apartments are built behind the block."

"Vi har varit på detta hotell tidigare och tidigare haft mycket positiva erfarenheter, vilket gjorde detta besök särskilt besviket. För att börja med är det värt att notera att vissa rum inte har balkong eller terrass.Tyvärr var vi ursprungligen placerade i ett av dessa rum, trots vår bokningsbeskrivning att vi skulle ha en balkong eller terrass. När hotellet var fullt bokat kunde vi inte byta rum till nästa dag.Utöver bristen på utrymme var rummet ljust på natten på grund av ett närliggande gatulykta som skinade direkt in. Under de följande två nätterna flyttades vi till ett rum med balkong, som vi uppskattade.Men det fanns en ständig högt vridande ljud i rummet en mekanisk typ av ljud som løb kontinuerligt dag och natt som gjorde det svårt att sova. På en positiv not är frukost bra och erbjuder ett trevligt val.Rengöring av rummen är också en mycket hög standard. El Cotillo själv är en vacker, lagend surfstad med vackra stränder och ett stort urval av små lokala restauranger.Det är den perfekta platsen om du vill koppla av och njuta av havet. Detta är inte en destination för nattlivet.Det handlar mer om stranden, surfa och sakta ner. - Vad?"

"Stayed for a week in block B 4211 roof terrace apartment. Very clean complex apt well presented with all you need for a self catering stay. Roof terrace a great area to relax on and watch the sunset. Building work all around as resort undergoing a lot of new builds currently, didn’t disturb us too much but was from 8am to 6pm. Pool heated and lovely to use but restricted hours only 11-5 due to need for a life guard. Several families there during our stay who did in some days rather take over the pool, but always found 1-2 quiet for a swim. El Cotillo is a very chilled out place sea swimming at the logons fabulous. Lots of laid back eateries no dressing up around there it’s off the beach and chill."

"Welcome to hell… Worst holiday ever! I work hard and look forward to my annual holiday. We have used Jet 2 Holidays many times but boy there has been nothing like this before. If you want to rest and relax, enjoy restaurants and like things to do, are coming on your own, as a couple or family; this is NOT the place for you…. It’s like a building site, woken by builders drilling doing piling works, electrics keeps going off, no places to eat out, looks like a wars zone, swimming pool freezing, it’s a dump! It’s only day 2 and looking forward to going home already!!! Do NOT come here."
