"The hotel is located right in the centre of Horta with easy access to the port. The rooms are basic but are great value for money with the most amazing view of Pico. If you like a nice coffee in the morning, take a trip to A Padaria just down the street."

"While the review of the hotel is not that great, I have to start with mentioning the hotel staff. They were absolutely the best, super nice, super helpful, super friendly and super accommodate and that goes to say for every person we dealt with. As for the rooms themselves it does not go that far. The rooms seem to be from another time frame and not the future. The TV in the room requires 2 remotes and they still fo not work, even if you get them to work somehow the quality is so bad that you still can't see anything. There is a TV in the reception but it's always cartoons as kids have no other escape. The WiFi in the room is non existent, so if you need to look something up guess what you are headed back to the lobby. The hair drier if probably 50 years old and is too difficult to use as it heats up and super hot to hold. Shower is another story, as there is no hot water and the shower head does no stay up, if you manage to put it in do not get alarmed when it falls in the middle of the night. As for the safe, you need to ask for a lock and key at the front desk, which I guess is better than not having one at all. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel, but don't even have basic tissues in the room"
